Talk to a repair man.

Make sure the connections are seated properly. Dirty disk? Older device, has it ever worked? The laser in the device may have malfunctioned. If this is the case, replace the device. New device? Go to manufacturer.

Grab a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol, gently clean laser lens and allow several minutes to dry, if this fails! it is cheaper to replace the player.

NO DO NOT WATSE YOUR MONEY PLEASE READ THIS! Ok I have owned the same portable dvd player for a few years now , and every know and then it acts up and wont play anything only to say " NO DISC " . What I have found over time is to fix this , turn it upside down , and slam it with your fist , enough for a sligh punch . This may sound really stupid but trust me it works great , just dont slam it so hard that you break , and this has worked for me numerous times , good luck :)

I would advise you first to clean the laser / lens with a clean cotton bud moistened with alcohol.

To be honest with you, this would be the first remedy for a user before having this unit repaired by a certified technician.

You will need to open the cover of your device. You will find the mechanical loading disc. The one where disc is loaded. In the middle of the mechanical loading you will find a spindle motor and beside this is a small glass illuminating red when the unit is on, this is the lens. Clean it with a cotton bud moistened with alcohol.

shock the batt wid 12volts dc...put back in the player...recharge then

• Check that the A/V IN/OUT Switch on the side of the player is set to the OUT position.
• Check the small switch near the hinge at the back of the unit, if one is installed there. It turns off the LCD screen when the panel is closed. This switch sometimes sticks in the down position and the screen remains off. When the screen is opened, the switch is supposed to pop up. If it is still in the down position, try to free it with the ends of a toothpick or paper clip.
• If both switches are correctly set and the screen remains blank, the unit should be sent to Audiovox for service.

Yes, the blinking means that it IS charging.

i have an audiovox dvd player model D1718 . i put the disc in and it says it is loading but then comes up no disc . how can i fix this problem?
