I have lost the fire wire and software for the A7

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program, such as Picasa ( http://picasa.google.com ).

I have got Digimax S600.

Possible fault in the CCD( charrge coupled device) of the imager in the camera as it is not adjusting the AGC.
Since this is a delicate section the fault must be checked and confirmed with Samsung.
Remove off the battery and keep aside overnight. replace and check. Similarily keep the set on for several hours to see if the picture corrects the light balance.
In there is some change also the board is faulty..

I accedently dropoed my samsung

Hello

The problem is that the lens has become stuck in the barrel. There are some DIY solutions you could try, but the probability is that you will have to get it fixed by a professional.

Use these at own risk as it may further damage the camera.

Firstly , try connecting your ac adapter or usb cable.

Try holding the shutter button while switching on the camera.

Look at the lens , and if some of the lens 'circles' is misaligned or not concentric then try wiggling it (while holding camera lens down).

Try gently pushing or pulling the lens when it extends but this is risky as it may cause the lens barrel to slip out of its guidance system.

Another way to do this is to place the camera lens down on a hard surface and then power it up. Be sure to use a soft cloth or something similar as to not scratch your lens or casing. Let the lens push the camera up and down a few times and sometimes the little resistance provided by the camera is enough to get things going again.

Try hitting your camera near the lens on the body with the soft tissue on the palm of your hand.

Other than that , I would take the camera to a repair centre for a evaluation to see if it would cost more to repair than to replace the camera.

If it is still under warranty I would suggest you take it in before trying any of these steps and remove any off-brand batteries or accessories as some stores are really fussy about warranty repairs on camera's with non-brand accessories.

Batteries are completely discharged after a few

Batteries you are using are not up to the job, the camera has high power usage so buy some decent Nimh rechargeables and a charger (make sure you buy at least 2000maH batteries) If you don't want to do that use decent alkaline cells such as duracell. (That will cost you a lot more in the long run)
You will find that the batteries you think are finished will power other items OK, they just cant provide the power your camera requires, so don't throw them away before you try them in your radio or remote.

Card locked

Look at your memory card. SD cards have a slide switch along one edge. The position farthest from the contacts locks the card, protecting it from writes. The position nearest the contacts unlocks the card. If the switch is already in the proper position, slide it fully the other way and then back again.

If that doesn't work, try another card.

My camera will turn on, but then turns itself off

Your camera almost certainly has a lens error. This is such a common fault that I hope you don't mind me pasting my stock generic answer below. No point in reinventing the wheel!

Stuck lenses are probably the most common reason that compact digital cameras get thrown away, but there's a fair chance of recovering use of your camera again

The fault is commonly caused by dirt or grit blocking the mechanism, or due to it having suffered a recent fall. Another common cause is that the camera was in a pocket or bag and the power button accidentally activated and tried to open the lens against resistance. The mechanism may have simply become dislodged or there may be parts which have broken.

If your camera is still under warranty and has definitely not been subject to misuse then contact the Kodak service department in your country to find out about a free repair. If the warranty has expired though a professional repair will far exceed the cost of replacing your camera. You will therefore have nothing to lose by trying to fix this yourself.

Please click here and you will be taken to an excellent article provided by the Camera Repair website. For the most part, you'll be guided on how to physically manipulate your camera to try and clear the fault.

If the link doesn't work then cut and paste the following address into your browser:-

Good luck, I hope you manage to use this information to fix your camera. Please take a moment to rate the free answer I have provided for you.

Hello ! My Samsung DIGIMAX A7

Hi,
Make sure that battery cover closed properly & the memory card is place rightly while camera is ON,
Use only those battery which is compatible with your camera (recommend by Samsung) May be battery is not holding charge (battery died) or possibly loose contact between camera and the battery terminal, Make sure that your battery is fully charged & place battery in battery terminal in right direction (+,-), Sometimes battery terminal gets dirty, wipe it with clean dry cloth, There could be possible that your charger is faulty and not allow battery to charge. I would recommend you to try replacing new battery before sending your device to service center.

Thanks...!!

The flash has stopped working. The red strobe

The flash capacitor could be bad, or the batteries could be weak- make sure they're charged, and clean the battery and camera contacts with a qtip and at least 90% isopropyl alcohol.
The flash consists of a small step-up transformer, a capacitor, small ic, and the xenon bulb. Some terminals on some cameras are coated with an insulating glue, but one some you can discharge the capacitor with a screwdriver- be ready for a fairly loud "Pop!". Do it a couple of times, or whatever it takes to fully discharge it. Look for broken, bad, or cold solder joints on the relavent devices. Take the old solder up, and resolder, if required. You can ohm out the transformer, and cursorily check the cap, but caps can break down while trying to charge, so that isn't always a conclusive check. The flash board is usually a separate board, and can be replaced as a unit. You might try to get an "as is" model off Ebay with a good flash circuit, and replace the board, bulb, and cap as a unit, but that's not an easy job. Other alternative is to get a new camera, since if you elect to have it serviced, it will justify buying a new one, in most cases. I found a working replacement on Ebay for $.99, but the shipping is $26.90 (you could try to talk them down). Here's the link:

1
Insert your memory card into your computer's reader if you have one. If not, you can purchase a multi-format USB Memory Card reader from Amazon.com or Buy.com
2
Open up 'My Computer'. You should see it under the list of available drives.
#3
Check its contents first to make sure that you have the right drive.
4
In 'My Computer', right-click on the drive and choose 'Format'.
5
Leave all the options as they are and click on 'Start'. This is a non-reversible process so make sure this is what you truly wanted to do in the first place.
6
Once the process is completed, take the memory card out and insert it into your Digital Camera or any other device. Try to browse to it to make sure it works fine now.

My samsung digimax a7 says card error when i turn

First get the card from the camera and insert it in a card reader or in a laptop with card reader and get all the pictures from the card to save them ..
after that be sure that the card is not locked from the locking slide that it placed on the right side of the card ..than clean the contacts with some alcohol based solution ..(it might as well be a perfume or anything with an alcohol base..) and insert it again in the camera with care ..agin ..and again until will recognize it ...if it asks for format it ..it means that it has an error but the card is seen ..so if you saved the pictures you can try to format it ..if it do not want to in the camera ..try to format it in teh card reader ...by right click on the removable disk in the my computer folder..than choose format ..click on quick ...and select fat 32...and go for it ..
after that try again to see if you get rid of the files from the card that caused the error ..cause sometimes if you use the card and have files that the camera is not able to read this can also cause card errors..
