YOU MUST align the small finder scope with the main tube.

Point the scope at a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. GET the top in the center of the eyepiece in the main scope.

Then without moving the scope-- adjust the cross-hairs in the small finder scope so they line up on the same object.

This is a reflector style scope with a large mirror in the bottom, and a small secondary mirror underneath the focuser. The focuser is on the UP end of the tube as the picture shows in your question.

Simply insert the eye[pieces into the hole on the focuser and turn the knob left or right until the image comes to focus. Practice during the day time on a distant object starting with the eyepiece with the largest number written on it.

Objects in the night sky are tiny and many of them are very dim-- the scope must be pointed directly at them or you will not see anything.

Stars always just look like stars only brighter-- you must align the small finderscope with the main tube during the day time on a distant object. Then at night you can use the finder scope to POINT the telescope accurately.

chrislee98 : Chris , first start by pointing it at the moon, use your bigger eyepiece like 20mm. then focus on it , after that you should be able to see other stars around the sky.

.965 eyepieces are readily available on ebay. A meade 25mm MA (modified achromat) is about $10 plus shipping This will give you 700mm/25mm= 28x power. Avoid any eyepiece marked with a H (Huygens) as they have terrible field of view.
.965 is not a popular size anymore and Bushnell does not make very good telescopes. Don't get frustrated, if you are still interested, buy a Meade, Celestron, Orion quality telescope.

In the DAY TIME? Take the scope out in the day time, put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser-- DO NOT use the 2x barlow. Practice focusing on a distant object by turning the focus know right and or left until you get a sharp image.

TAKE the lens cap off-- of course.

Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser. The focuser is on the side of the tube------- this is the UP end of the telescope. The mirror is on the bottom. Take the lens cap off and practice focusing with the above eyepiece during the day time.

DO NOT USE the 2x barlow until you learn how to focus.

You cannot find parts for that very low cost telescope. You can buy a tripod but the cost will probably be more than you paid for the scope.

All of their manuals are located further down the above web site. I doubt that you have parts missing-- but it is possible.

I suspect that you have the tube mounted BACKWARDS, with the focuser on the ground end of the tube! If so turn it around, the focuser is on the UP end of the telescope. Put the eyepiece with the largest number written on it into the focuser.

Practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. The image will be upside down. This is normal for all astronomical telescopes.

If this is a reflector telescope, did the small secondary mirror located beneath the focuser hole fall out?

This mirror sends the light from the main primary mirror out through the focuser. Watch this video to get an idea of how this works and how to replace it.

This telescope does NOT have a lens it has MIRRORS.

It also has eyepieces that slip into the focuser on the side of the tube.

Did you loose your eyepieces? or did the mirror fall out?
