Olympus P-440 doesn't work with Snow Leopard. What

The first thing that you need to do is to verify if your Olympus P-440 is if it's supported by Mac OSX 10.6.x (Snow Leopard). If yes, make sure that you've installed the correct driver for Snow Leopard.

You may check the link below:

http://driverscollection.com/?file_cid=41942227668e7c7e22782bc2081

This link contains a driver for Mac OSX. I assume that this driver will work with all OSX (starting from Tiger to Snow Leopard). If this driver will not help, you may need to contact the manufacturer, and verify the system requirements of your printer.

Thank you and good luck!

When print command given the

Hello,

the problem is a software related fault. its as a result of the upgrade. You will have to revert the upgrade or maybe you didn't do the installation properly.

Try to do upgrade installation afresh if that doesn't work, you will then have to go back to your previous version.

Take care.

Paper jam!

If the printer does not pick up paper ...
Take a paper towel and clean the two rubber pick-up rollers (grey color) with rubbing alcohol.

You can see the tow rollers when you look down (from the top) in the slot where the paper tray goes.

Olymus P-440 dont work with Vista

I finally had time to sit and get my Olympus P-400 to work on Vista. I am using Vista 32 bit Service Pack 1.

Good thing I did this as I almost sold it!

Here's what you do: I created a new file folder on the Desktop to make this a little easier.

Using the original disk browse to the Acroread file folder, than to your specific language file and Copy the file ar405eng.exe to your Desktop in your new folder. The "eng" is for English.

Right mouse click the ar405eng.exe and select Properties.
Than select the Compatibility Tab.
Select Compatibility Mode and select "Windows 98/ME"
Also select "Run this program as an Administrator"

When I ran it it coped the .inf and DLL files to their own file. Do a search and locate files starting with "Olympus".

Got to Control Panel
Go to Printers
Click Add Printer
Choose Local Printer
Choose Have a Disk
Browse to the location where the .inf and DLL files are located when you did the search.
This installed the correct driver and I was able to print using Photoshop without error.

Hope this helps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Olympus P440 Dose not work on Vista

The driver for the P-440 printer will work in Windows Vista. To install it you will need to run it in Windows compatibility mode XP service pack 2. Download the P-440 driver to your desktop from the olympusamerica.com website. Open the zip file, right click the mouse on the setup.exe file then left click on Properties. There will be a compatibility tab there. Select XP Service pack 2 and then click Ok. Connect the printer and as it goes through the found new hardware wizard direct to the folder location on your desktop for the files it needs to load the device driver.

Paper Jam error

Remove the jammed paper. Unplug the printer from the mains and PC. Inspect the rollers, etc for tiny paper piece(s) that may be stuck, or other debris. Try to clean rollers and make sure they are dry.
Keep printer unplugged for about 2 minutes and replug and try a test print.
Also make sure thatyou have waited long enough for the printer to heat up before giving a print job.
Finally, it could be an issue with the paper sensor. If this is the case, you will probably have to take the printer in for servicing..

Hope that helps!
