You unit needs to go in for repair. Below it Tom Tom's website once you get on there page look at the top under support. Explain your situation to them and make arrangements to have it sent to them for repairs. Either click the link or copy the link in to your web browser. Here is the link:

Have you tried reformatting your memory card? Does your computer recognize your card if you plug in the card directly to your computer? You can also try a different memory card if the other solution doesn't work. REFORMATTING WILL ERASE THE CONTENTS OF CARD JUST SO YOU KNOW!

battery is going dead from inside.

first go to main menu press- change preferencs then press blue arrow to go thru menu till you get to change language and that's it.

any number of resons for this. here are a few

Battery is too low to recive a signal
The wrong port is selected in the settings
The antenna is diosconnected or broken
The SIIRF chip is damaged ( connecting to DC car outlet when starting engine)
Battery needs replacing
poor view of the sky
Too far back from windscreen
Too much window tint

First though Take off the faceplate ( using a credit card or similar) locate the reset hole and reset it to factory. Your saved data will be lost ( previous trips data and any skins applied) it may recover and reconnect for you. But charge the battery properly on an AC charger or via the USB.

I have had my GPS( TOmTOM One) on Waiting for Signal for 2 weeks now and I finally fixed it.

My symptomtoms (word play) were no signal at open areas, when connected to Tom Tom Home it showed exactly where I was and worked through the PC but when disconnected back to the same thing.

I called Tom Tom CS and nothing, FLash did nothing, factory defaults nothing, and updating did nothing.

What I did:
I charged the unit completely.
I took a paperclip and while off pressed on the reset button at the bottom by SD slot. I held it there for 30 mississippi's.
I did not turn it on after letting go.
I went outside to my car (parked on roof of parking lot) turned it on and set it on my dash vertically.
I left and came back in 1 hour and wallaaaaa. It is working perfectly!

Let me know if this fixes it.
