Turn on your computer and locate the Wi-Fi icon. This could be located on the upper row on a laptop it will have the radiation look ((())) Make sure its pressed on. There should be an option to "automatically connect" when it detects the network. Look for a checkbox. create the menu tab on your homepage right click in the top toolbar you should see a number of toolbar options select the menu tab which will add File Edit View Favorites Tools and Help
click on the tools at the bottom of the drop down list will be internet options in the connections tab tick in the box never dial a connection below that will be change search defaults click on settings you will see all search providers you have if dont need any of them you can disable or remove them Power on the laptop computer and wait for the operating system to boot before proceeding. Right-click the wireless icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. From the pop-up menu select "Enable." This activates the wireless Internet options but it does not turn on the wireless receiver. Push down on the wireless button or wireless switch on the top of the keyboard. After a moments time the switch or button lights up, signifying the computer is ready for an Internet connection. Right-click the wireless icon again. From the pull-up menu choose to view all available wireless networks in the area. A window appears with all the networks your computer receives some sort of signal from. Select the wireless network you want access to, type in the password (if required) and click "Connect." Momentarily the laptop computer connects to the Internet.
you should be able to, it depends on the laptop, the os, the wireless adapter, and the settings .
click start Control Panel - Network Connections - right click on 'Wireless connection' (or similar) and click 'enable'. right click on the network in the bottom toolbar select open network sharing center you should have the options to either connect or disconnect or set up a network connection this will vary depending on your operating system Hope this helps. b>

BIOS passwords can be reset in two ways:

1. using software 2. using hardware.

I would first try resetting using software, here are two software apps to reset or retrieve BIOS passwords.

!BIOS - is a PC BIOS toolkit offering password removal/decrypt and BIOS settings modification/backup/restore...
You can download it here:

Does the mouse pointer move? Does the mouse work? Does the Keyboard work?

The cursor moves on keystrokes from the keyboard or from taking the mouse and pointing it and clicking in a text area.

make sure you have not turned the touchpad off. Some laptops will have a button that is located in the middle of the touchpad at the top of the touchpad that toggles the mouse pointer on and off.

Some laptops will have a set of keystrokes that toggles the touchpad on or off. Normally you will have to Press and Hold either the Alt or FN key then hit the corresponding key that controls the touchpad. Most times the correct key to hit will have the icon of a finger pointing at a square box that represents the touchpad.

You may have been hijacked by a virus or infection. Boot up in Safe Mode and see if it works.
Go to www.google.com and in the search box type:"Download cnet Malwarebytes" (without the quotes). Download and install malwarebytes from the sites download.cnet/malwarebytes. When the site opens up click on the Green Download button on the left. Do notclick the Red Download button, that's junk. When it finishes installing the Gui Interface will open up with an offer to Accept a Trial Version or Decline. CLICK DECLINE you want the totally free version. Run a QUICK SCAN. As it scans, if it finds infections the number will be in red. When it finishes scanning, click SHOW RESULTS. A notepad text document will open up showing you the results. You can close the text document and go back to the Gui Interface where you will click REMOVE SELECTEDRESULTS. The objects will already be selected for you. When it finishes removing the objects click ok and it will sometimes reboot your machine

OK ya have a bad connection problem, I think the wires that go between the case and screen may be damaged or loose? in any event ya gonna haveta take it to a repair shop :( The Mic problem MAY be inter-related.. however until ya fix the screen this is a moot point, no? The Mic problem is probably just an incompatibility problem... not aLL mic's work on all pc's even when they work on others.. Oh say try a USB mic they are great.
