How can I Fix my Mackie SRM 1801?

First, check the speaker itself to make sure it isn't blown. If so, replace it. If not, take the unit in for repair.

The OL and THERMAL LEDs turn on quickly after an even very low level signal input.

These subs are renowned for problems. The PSU and the output stages as well as the main driver are all weak and there are a number of companies that will upgrade them and sort out other issues such as vibrations. Assuming it is out of warranty and you really want to use this you would be best going to a specialist repairer to get it sorted not Mackie.

Hi sorry it was mackie srm 1801 works fine on A out put can I use for time all is working well

Yes, you can use the A output, as long as you're OK with it being a mono system. It may be helpful to read the manual which has a lot of info including possible setup configurations. Here's a link- http://www.mackie.com/products/srm1801/pdf/SRM1801_OM.pdf

This will likely be a component level issue. I suggest taking it to the shop. Call and ask them, but some repair guys prefer you pull the amp out to save space in their shop.

It is likely that the O/P transistors have blown, especially if the fuse keeps blowing and the O/L led comes on. It's a repair shop jobbie

Speaker is receiving a signal but no sound is

Zombie post, I know... But, I have a solution for this. Remove the power amp unit from the rear of the sub cabinet. Remove the sheetmetal shield, noting the 4 allen screws on the side. Th daughterboard that the 4 screws thread into is a filter for the power amp's output, and is the last circuit that the powered signal goes through before hitting the speaker. If you inspect the solder joints, you will likely find that there are several which are bad. they will look cracked, potentially discolored in the crack. Resolder the joints, making sure to use good solder, and fill the joint. The most likely culprits are the 4 joints belonging to the 2 blade connectors which attach the daughter board to the larger board (which is the actual amplifier component). Again, sorry for digging this problem up from the grave, but when I searched for a solution earlier, this was one of the only posts that resembled my issues, and it never got a good solution.

Led's don't power and there

Likely the amp blew and the power supply is being overloaded and keeps trying to power on but finds an overload and continues as the power goes away. This is NOT a DIY unless your are electronically adept.
