How can you configure Zebra printer 105sl (over network) to print labels in IE and have a regular printer from reducing the document size from a thin client?

I have this issue whenever I set my default printer to a label printer. Use the other printer as the default and set to the zebra only when you need it.

I need replacement spring for

That spring is part of the Ribbon supply spindle and I don't think anyone would sell you just the spring unless they charge you what the spindle is worth for just the spring. If you need i have them in stock. Rory 708-597-4222

Hello,

a lot of thing could cause this problem. Since you are not the first to use this printer, it won't be easy to get the exact problem because you cannot explain what happened before the problem began.

Click the below link to view the manual for your Zebra 105SL.

Go to "troubleshooting" section of the manual and follow all directions therein. You will certainly get to the root of the problem by so doing. There are a lot of issue discussed on this section of the manual.

http://www.ausense.com/pdf/105SLusersguide.pdf

The user guide is in PDF format. So you need the latest version of adobe acrobat reader to be able to view the manual.

Also, you need to wait and allow the manual load completely, before you scroll through it for view. And you can print out the manual for future reference.

Please let me know of this doesn't help.

Regards.

Changing the setting on the printer The default setting is thermal transfer for this printer. You can change the setting on the printer so it doesn't show you the error any more by doing the following: Press SETUP/EXIT Press Plus (+) to scroll through the different parameters About the 6th parameter is "PRINT METHOD" Press "SELECT" to select the parameter Press Plus (+) or Minus (-) to change to Direct Thermal (no ribbon) Press "NEXT/SAVE" to save your changes If you make the changes to you printer and as soon as it prints it reverts back to thermal transfer, then your label software or your driver are overriding it and you need to make the change there.
Changing the setting in your label software - this will also change the settings for this label only Open your label Make the change under "label setup" or "page setup" inside your label software.
Changing the setting on the driver - this will also change the default settings for all future labels that you create Go to control panel and devices and printers. Locate the driver for your label printer and make the change under "Printing Preferences".

I think this is more related to the calibration of the label each time you change the new label size. I use ZM400 and your printer should also have the same setting. Under setting, put the When Head Close setting to Calibration. This will let the calibration perform automatically when ever you load a new label size and close the print head. Well 2 label will be lost every time.

Hi , I have a

The settings in the printer driver are overriding the saved printer settings.
Do this:
1. Correct the printer settings and save them permanently.
2. Print saved configuration for future reference and to see if it changes.(Power on while holding cancel)
3. Print a label from computer.
4. Print configuration again (Power on while holding cancel).
5. Compare the 1st and 2nd printouts. If they are different then the printer driver is changing the printer settings. In other words the printer settings and the driver are different and the driver settings will override the printer settings before printing.
6. Change the driver settings and this won't happen. Increase the darkness setting in the driver.

Ribbon take-up issue. The ribbon

You should include a metallic rod when winding so when you want to remove your ribbon, just pull out the metallic rod and the ribbon sould come out.
Else take another type of printer where there is a core for used ribbon.

What does the warning ribbon

That probably means that your Thermal ribbon is not correctly fixed on the spindle or not in the right inking. Normally on zebra printers the inking must be outside.
Check on your user's manual

Our Zebra 105SL is saying the "Head is open" but

Open the side cover and to the top right is a sensor for the printhead, open and close the printhead and watch the sensor to make sure the arm is triggering it.

Error condition, heads open, ribon

This is usually a sensor problem, make sure it is dust free and no labels are stuck around it. Check the label and ribbon paths are correct and switch off and on again.ronanjd_0.jpg
