How to reset 108r00603

You need to replace the counter chip that's in the maintenance roller assembly. You can find those at e-bay. Just make sure that there is enough oil at the roller and the blade is in good contition or else the ink wil stick on the drum and you'll have print quality problems

Ireplaced the printhead on a Xerox phaser 8400. I am now getting an error message 04.024.46.40803. i put the pivot block in that came with the origonal head (not working correctly) and have tried it

This fault code indicates a problem with the process control system. The machine cannot successfully home the transfix mechanism. Check for obstructions around the printhead. Look for ink shards in the gears of the tilt drive. Check the printhead wiring harness to make sure it is not blocking the printhead movement (left/right & front/back). Remove the waste ink tray and look for ink build-up. Check the process drive gears for damage. Ensure the gears are correctly aligned and homed. Check the nose cone alignment on the X-Axis motor. Is the nose cone aligned with the printhead shaft (left/right movement). When you removed the square metal block from the printhead shaft on the Left side, did you reinstall it with the "dot" in the same orientation as the diagram above it shows with a check mark?

Phaser 8400 error

AC power supplied by power sources such as uninterruptible power supplies (UPSs) or DC-to-AC inverter systems may not supply correct voltage to properly power up the printer. Likewise, other devices sharing the same AC circuit can cause AC voltage sags that cause the printer to fail its AC heater PEST tests (Print Engine Self Test). The printer may produce the following heater errors:

37,005.41: PEST - Printhead Reservoir 1 disconnect. Reservoir 1 is not drawing the expected power from the supply. If the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet and you still get this error, the Printhead is bad and should be replaced. If you

Error Message 37,004.40:194943

Turn off the printer and open the printer back door. Use a spot light and give look inside properly. Make sure there no paper. Some time small part of the paper creates the problem. So you can do one thing after open the back door, top side etc make the printer upside down etc. So if anything inside that's will come out. After cleaning again connect it with PC and turn on. Now give a look. If you face same problem then Un-install the printer driver and software from the PC. Then restart the PC and Printer both. Now connect the Printer with PC via USB and install again the driver & software. Then try to print and let me know the result.

I have a xerox phaser

The 37,004.40 error means that the ink reservoir is not heating up correctly. Make sure the printer is plugged in directly into the wall and not on a power strip and cycle the power to the machine (turn it off and back on). If the problem continues, you probably have a bad printhead which you have to replace. For the 8400 the part number is 650-4303-00. Iteminc.com has that part in stock and ships same day. Here is a video that shows you how to replace the printhead. Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa.

I have xerox phaser 8400 : when i turn it on it

Service Manual says:
37,020.47 = (8400) Strip Solenoid
37,020.47: Strip Solenoid disconnect.
The strip solenoid is not drawing the
expected power.

The Solenoid (relay) may be bad, or the power to it is low.

The Stripper Solenoid positions the stripper blade. The solenoid mounts on the Upper Inner Duplex guide and activates the strip solenoid lever, which in turn rotates the Stripper Carriage
until it hits the transfix ground pins. This action causes the stripper blade to drop onto the deadband of the Drum.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Hello, I always rcv a

This seems to be fault in the transport of the paper in the rollers. So if you have used any adhesive sticker printing, it is possible that some glue has got clogged into the rollers. If not there can be some jammed paper in the rollers or the mechanism.
So start this work only if you are mechanically able with the right tools.
Remove the covers to get access to the mechanism . Remove the motor drive assembly , the fitting of the motor to the mechanism. Once this is removed the rollers can be turned manually so that you will be able to feed a paper to see the progress of the movement while studying if there is any obstruction or damage to the paper.
There is a in-detect sensor, usually an opto-coupler , make sure this is not clogged or dirty as this IR detection feeds the signal to the processor for starting the motor drive feed.
Reassemble but make sure the rollers are aligned to be in equal gap to feed the paper without a side pull. Now you must print and see if the fault has changed. If not repeat the above work to confirm the area of obstruction.

Xerox Phaser 8400 prints pdfs

I've seen this issue on some of my other Xerox machines (not the 8400 specifically). 9 times out of 10 the solution is to update both the printer driver to the newest version, as well as updating Adobe Reader to the newest version.

Here are the links to each:

My xerox 8400 jams when printing full page color

Hello

This looks like a paper jam in an area where you have not located, like the fuser unit, the image basket etc

To check the fuser unit,Turn off the printer and remove the power cord. Allow the printer to cool off for 30 minutes to an hour before attempting to work with the fuser. The fuser gets very hot while the printer is in use, and you can be burned if you touch it before it cools.

Press the release lever on the side door to open it. Pull down the fuser lever so you have room to grab any jammed paper.

Pull the jammed paper out of the fuser unit. Hold the paper at its lowest point and pull downward. Flip the fuser lever back up and close the side door.

For Paper Jam Under Imaging Units

Lift the latch on the front of the printer to open the top cover of the device. Hold the handle of the imaging unit basket (the gray object with the colored squares on it) and carefully remove the basket from the printer. Remove the jammed paper and then carefully place the imaging unit basket back into its original position.

For Jam at Door B

Open "Door B", located on the right side of the printer. Pull down the paper guide and carefully remove any jammed paper that is behind it. Put the paper guide back into place and close the door.

The problem could also be a Misfeed in One of the Printer Trays,Carefully pull out the tray you were printing from when the jam occurred. Remove the jammed paper and ensure that the remaining sheets of paper are properly loaded--they should be aligned and the guides of the tray should be adjusted to fit the size of the paper. Push tray back into the printer.
