That is caused by the print head not pivoting from home to print position.
Here are the probabilities.
1. The staineless steel pivot block, that the print drive shaft goes through has had some, most likely yellow ink seeping into it and had made it slow to move back and forth. That is the most likely issue.
2.The machine was unplugged or there was a power failure and the print head wiper blade has tacked to the print head.
3. The cables to the print head are hanging up not allowing free movement of the print head.
4. The Media path motor geat chain is out of timing. That is unlikely, but a possible cause.
The easiest way to prevent that code is to make sure the printer is level front to back and side to side.
Also, the print head is possibly bad.print head, but unlikely.
The printer has a jam and it is stuck sending a cleaning page. If you cure the jam, then things will return to normal. (You may be able to get 1 sheet through the manual feed, too)
I suspect mechanical problems, started with cracked plastic items. We have assembled a Service Kit (8400-Z1) for our field technicians, which we call the Camshaft Pivot kit, containing an updated Pivot Plate (which pushes against the oil roller. The 2 camshafts also have similar functions, one in the same area, and one at the transfer point. They always fail together, so that's why you should change them all.
Look at this video and see if this is too involved for you to do-it-yourself. You may need a trained tecnician.
Hi, the error code you are getting refers to not enough current to power up the printer. I would suggest if you have it on a surge protecter, backups, etc . Disconnect the printer and plug it directly into the wall outlet.
The following items can cause the printer error code listed above: • The printer was powered off in the middle of a cleaning cycle and the wiper has frozen to the printhead. • A Drum Maintenance Camshaft lobe is broken and holding the Maintenance Kit’s oil roller against the drum when it should be retracted to its home position. • Process gearbox not being aligned correctly as described in the service manual and in Service Bulletin 714. • A broken left or right printhead restraint. • Ink spilled in the roll block preventing the printhead from tilting forwards/backwards or from traveling left/right. • Ink or other debris under the printhead that do not allow it to fully tilt backwards or forward. • The printhead wiper assembly not being aligned correctly or ink spilled in the wiper tracks on either side of the printer. • The printhead tilt gear not being homed correctly. • The X-axis motor nose cone not being installed correctly. • The ferrite torrid on the printhead interface cable has slipped behind the printhead causing the printhead to bind when it tilts backwards. • The black plastic shroud on the back of the printhead is snapped off and binding the printhead when it tilts back.
What you can try is going onto the Xerox.com site and loading what is call Jet Substitution it will change the ports being used.
That could help.
Load it to your laptop and then run. Sometimes helps.
Unfortunatly that is a very expensive print head.
It means the printhead is stuck in the tilt position by the tilt arms. If the process motor gearbox is out of sync, it'll cause this error.
Steps to resolve: Reboot the printer. Verify the lock arms rotate correctly. Check for spilled ink around the printhead (did you move it without waiting for it to cool down?) Check the process motor gears for damage. Make sure they're aligned and homed correctly. Repeat for process gear box, process shaft, and drive module shaft. Verify the headtilt gear will engage. From there, run the Tilt Axis Drive test, Process Motor test, Head Maintenance Clutch test (replace clutch if failed), and Wiper drive test (replace wiper drive system if failed)

hello, I have a phaser 7800? the ignition it puts this code, I switched off and on again? the first switch after 5 seconds as indicated. Same thing, nothing, so I wiped the color sensors. The problem persists. What to do?

Question edited for clarity, full 'make model (what it is)'.
check out the videos, however, it is a Xerox and they like to keep track of page counts because it is often part of the contract for lease or toner supplies on their machines.
