Phaser 8500 cleaning page

You can't. Just simply stated. It is the way it's designed.
Per Xerox below

NOTE: The automatic printhead cleaning cycle cannot be disabled.
The printer performs automatic printhead cleaning cycles to remove air bubbles or foreign matter that can cause a printhead jet to malfunction. An automatic printhead cleaning cycle is performed when the printer is first powered ON, or if the ink has cooled to the point that a cleaning cycle is required.
Powering OFF the printer longer than 3 or 4 minutes will also cause the printer to perform a printhead cleaning cycle when the printer is powered back ON, which uses ink. To minimize ink consumption, keep the printer powered ON at all times.

Printer says "Claening sheet required install

The phaser printer using the wax cartridges requires cleaning every so often.
Load standard 8.5x 11 paper and go into the maintenence area on the front panel of the printer. There are 3 types of cleaning available. Use the deep clean option and the printer will spit out several sheets of paper. (THROW THESE AWAY) Don't atempt to reuse the cleaning sheets as it has caused problems for me in the past.
Once done reset the printer.
Good Luck

I have this error showing: 09,037,45:101905 ...

Your machine has a problem counting the yellow ink sticks, this can be caused by non Xerox ink or faulty/broken Xerox inks.
Your machine has now gone into a flagged fault state and needs to have the flag reset.
In order to reset the flag, you need to go into 'Troubleshooting' then into 'Service Tools'. Once in service tools press and hold the up button, then press the down button. This will take you into a hidden service menu. Scroll down this menu and look for 'Clear ISC fault' or 'Reset Ink Loader' (there will only be one or the other not both commands) highlight the command by scrolling down to it. Press the OK button, nothing will happen. (Press a couple of times if you want to be sure). Now scroll down to exit and select to return to the previous menu. Switch the printer off by the off switch on the side of the printer, NOT at the wall/plug socket.
Your printer will now reboot. Please be aware, if there is a faulty switch on the ink loader, this method will work until 2.5 inks have gone through the machine, it will then give you the fault again. If it was just a dodgy ink stick, this will be a permanent solution.
Hope it helps you.

Here is the Xerox definitive answer: 8,035.42 The media path motor stalled while moving the cap/wipe UP.
  • Check for paper in the paper path.

  • Check the condition of the Pick and ****** Rollers

  • Is the machine extra noisy? Are you able to get the cover off the right-hand side and check that the gearbox is still securly fixed to the machine (the posts that hold this on can become weak and snap).

Hello, and thanks for using FixYa.

There seems to be a communication problem between the printer and the pc. I'd recommend that you uninstall the printer from the commputer, you can do so from start -> control panel -> uninstall programs or "add or remove" programs.

After you have removed the printers software, if any exists. Then go to the printers and faxes folder. Which you will find from either start menu or from start -> control panel -> or in some cases it might also be in My computer.

Once inside the folder, right click on your printer and select delete. Also disconnect the printers usb canble and make sure there are no other printers with the same name installed there.

Now restart the computer, and being to install the printer back to the computer like you did when you purchased it. Insert the cd and run the setup. if you no longer have the disc you may obtain the software from http://www.support.xerox.com/go/results.asp?Xtype=download&prodID=8500_8550&Xlang=en_US&Xcntry=USA

after you have installed the printer it should work normally again.

Please let me know if you require further assistance or if you have any questions.
    Thanks,
    Ekse

Xerox 8500 Phazer printer message is add black

You most likely need to replace the ink loader. It is not hard to do at all.
I dont have that sprcific documentation. But if you call 1-800-835-6100 and follow the prompts to parts, they can find the correct part number and quote you a price. If you want after that. let me know I can write you directions on how to replace it. If you have a maintenance agreement they will replace it and it will not be extra. But it is not difficult at all to replace.
