Xerox Phaser 8200 Laser Printer - Answered Questions & Fixed issues
Phaser 8200
That normally indicated a heating issue with the print head. Could be the printhead itself or an issue with the electronics module providing the source voltage for that heater

My xerox phaser has a blank screen and no green
That sounds like one of two things.
Either the ribbon cable to the screen needs reset, you have to remove 4 screws I believe it is, then unplug everything to that assembly, and re plug them back in.
If that does not repair it, then most likely the electronics module has failed. That is quite expensive to replace.

Maintanance kit replace sp 8200 dn
Hi Shrife,
Although you might have this problem cleared by now, Ill try and add more information that might be of help.
Once you replace the maintenance kit there is a small CRUM Chip on the side of these units to record the life of them and can be used monitor how long units have been used for then the printer can remind the user when to order a new unit.
If you have a bad connection then the unit won't register and work.
If you have a faulty unit you must let the supplier know and they should send you another.
Good Luck.

Xerox colorcube 8570 wont start
its crazy we just had one the other day that was acting up. If you have a spare control panel try switching it, look for any lights. If you know your control panel is 100% good. Then you might have to end up switching the power supply. iteminconline

Left hand side of page (about 2" strip) is not
Generally what causes this is a blockage of the laser beam. Check that the toner/drum cartridge does not have any foreign paper stuck to it. People some times stick a date on them and this impedes the laser beam ray.

Xerox 8550 yellow bleeds into black on lightstripe
This could be a leaking printhead but it is more likely to be
a failed wiper/cleaning blade.
I have checked and as far as I can see, the additional trays should work
on a Phaser 8560 as they both have the same part number which is 097S03174.
Hope this helps.

Screen says (Paper Jam-Open front cover to clear.)
Check your upper feed assembly and make sure you didn't break off any flags when you installed it. It's easier to do the it might look.
er feed assembly is one of the most common causes of that jam. Look for little sensor flags that have broken off.

I am running Mac OS
Try turning off the printer for about 10 seconds and then restart it. It is possible the printer has something stuck in memory. If it connects to an external print server, try power cycling the print server.

Xerox Phaser 8200 false "Replace Paper Tray" message
I've had a similar problem with a client's 8200 printer, and looking at the right hand side of the tray someone had previously put some tape over the topmost 'slot' (above where the green slider goes across).
I put some new tape over the top slot and the 'replace paper tray' message went away.
Admittedly, the tape gets pushed in so I don't know how long it will be before the tape gets dislodged and the error re-appears.
The printer is well out of warranty and they don't want to pay anything to get it fixed... so this solution is fine with them.
Hope this helps someone else out there :-)

Xerox 6280 printing of blue looks like grey
There is a procedure called Tec Color correction. Go to Xerox.com. Click on support and drivers. Enter 8200, then search. then click support again, then in the search box enter tec color and it will give you the step by step directions. If that does not work then you would most likely have to replace the print head. If your using non xerox ink, then you may want to try replacing the ink with Xerox brand ink and purging out the old.
