My friend had this very same problem on Thursday Night, it was something that had nothing to do with the Connection but rather the FRONT SLIDE DOOR that shuts off the display. He had it open 7/8 of the way and all he got was a Light, when I opened the door all the way, it fixed his problem with his Projector and was able to do his presentation that evening... Good Luck

It sounds like one of the polarizing lenses has started to burn out. If so the problem will get worse and spread over the whole image. If so it may be too costly to repair, as projectors can be bought for just over £200.
