There is usually a factory reset button located in a pinhole on the back where the connections are. Turn the router on and press the reset button for 5-10 seconds. This will clear all the settings including your password. You can find the factory password in the manual or online.

Silly question: Do you have internet ar=t home and if so, do you have a wireless router?

There are several ways to do this. If you are on cable internet just press and hold the reset button in the back of the Linksys router using a pen or something that can push the recessed button and hold it for about 20 seconds. The router will reset but with no security, so you will have to manually reset it. Using the web browser on a wired computer (a computer that is not connected via WiFi) and type 192.168.1.1 into the address bar. Both the user and password are admin. You can configure the router wireless security and change the SSID (if desired). If you are on DSL I wouldn't do this as DSL can be quite complicated to configure.

First off you have to have a compatible wireless adapter, the prefered is a alfa awus06h that has a rt8187L in it. Second you need linux, third you need to install aircrack-ng the latest nightly, and reaver-wps. Google is you're friend.

Then log in directly using you're web browser. Go to http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 or http://192.168.2.1 and set it up that way.

Call verizon dsl and make sure you have your account username and password (given to you by verizon when the connection was put in your home) when you get them on the phone. also make sure you have the username and password for your Linksys device.

If you see the reset button our router, just press the button ..this should take the router back to factory default.
Remember any other saved configuration will be wiped out too..

It is likely your wireless card reception. try an external usb wifi adapter it shouldn't be expensive.

Unfortunately you will have to reset your router and re-set it up all again, this time write down your password & WEP/WAP key. Look for a hole at back of router remove from power and push the little button for a few seconds.

press the rest botten in the back for 25 sec. This should set it back. You can also call the company for free and they can tell you if this does not work.

Router that cannot be PING can be cause by several problem, first that you need to make sure is that your computer computer is getting a valid ip address from the router. Then if you do have a valid ip from the router make sure you have your security software disable for the meantime because they can block that.If still not working the last thing to do is to reset the rouetr to factory default and then try it again.
