Sounds like the digitizer could be bad.

Try going to Settings / General the make sure that the "Greyscale" is switched off.

Delete it first (press & hold the Facebook App on the screen and when an X appears press the X and delete the APP. Then go to the App Store icon and do a search for Facebook - then re-install it.
