my lowrance lms 337c df will not power up. I checked all the cables and poer and they are good . can you assist me

1. Try a soft reset
2. If the problem resurfaces, try a hard reset
3. Update the the operating system software

Soft Reset (Does not delete GPSData)
1. Turn unit OFF 2. Press and holdthe PAGES key
3. Press and hold the PWR key
4. Release both buttons when the USA map
Appears

Hard Reset (Deletes stored GPS Data
such as Waypoints and trails)
1. Back up any waypoints, routes,and trails that you want to save on a blank MMC card
2. Turn unit OFF
3. Press and hold the ZIN&ZOUTKeys at
the same time
4. Pressand hold the PWR key
5. Release both buttons when the USAmap
appears

If you don't have a card reader I can program an update card for you.

Its possible that the SD card is over-sizes for your device; try to copy the software update to another 2GB SD card and and test it.

First I'd suggest you to do an UPDATE. There is a FREE SOFTWARE UPDATE called "1.9.0" and it can be taken from here.
If this update will not help and if you ill get the same message that means your GPS module is defective and it has to be replaced.
But before of that you have to check these steps to ensure that everything is OK:
# make sure that a proper power is supplied to the unit
# check and clean connections between the display portion of the unit and the GPS module. There is an intermediary connection on a power cable that the GPS module connects to. Clean all connections with an anti-corrosion cleaner for electronics as needed.
# reset the unit

I know this may sound funny but replace the water temperature sensor cable that's connected to the unit. There is a module in the temperature sensor cable that has been going bad on a lot of these units recently. I had the same problem and replaced the temperature sensor cable and that fixed the problem.

I have a manual for this unit but i'm still using mine so not willing to sell it to you. I'm in Melbourne and you're welcome to borrow it for a week or so or i could probably photocopy/scan certain sections for you and email them if it helps. I wonder if the module has failed again, have you tried reseting the device?

I'm looking into this but I suspect that repairs are required again.
