You should not have to install anything to use an option on your computer.

If you press any key on the keyboard, the back light should come on automatically. If not, hold down (Fn) function key and press "right arrow" with a blue florescent symbol until the back light is lit. Pressing the "right arrow" key while holding down the (Fn) key lits the back light and can also reduce, increase the light. Hope this helps

It might be a hardware fault. Have you tried scrubbing your RAM and reconnecting your hard disk? Sometimes, this solve the problem. If it don't, you can also try changing your RAM, owned by someone else, that is working and place it in your laptop just to cross check if your ram is faulty. You can also use the diagnostic ram tools built by dell themselves to check for fault. :P

if a drive is not detecting it may be badsata drives will either give failure messages or wont detect at all if the drive is bad.ide drives may do this if the jumper setting is wrong.most of these drives are usually set to cable select.but if they may need to be set to the right position in relation to the ide cable

Could be backlighting, loose ribbon cable, tiny switch that turns the monitor on and off when lid is opened and closed. Even a driver issue. Can you see a "ghost image" of your desktop in a very bright light? Has the laptop beed jarred, dropped, fallen over...etc.?

Window does not come with web camera software. You may have deleted the program. Do a search if you know the program name. F3 is the search key.

what liquid was spilled into the keyboard ? water will dry out in a few days, but if it's soda then the motherboard/cooling fan will have to be cleaned

I would recommend to login with Safemode. Scan PC with an updated Antivirus. Also scan PC with a registry cleaner to fix windows errors. Use Reginout to fix windows errors.

are you talking about the inbuilt bluetooth or any usb bluetooth dongle.if it is inbuilt one then check if you have bluetooth chip installed in it! contact dell care,give your service tag number,they will say it.

(vast) (just 2 steps in fact) but the boot drive , change out is far far far more complex. and you never not told that. you want to mess with the C: drive? now let me guess the real goal (sad I must) the OS drive windows is failing ( common) and some lil' bird told you it needs a new boot drive, and then fail to say so here. okay I will bite. 1: buy a new SSD (hdd fail and are slow) 2: buy a new OS, from MS. or get free w10. push the physical cd drive try button marked EJECT the PC must be running, or use the paper clip hole trick. (if PC is dead or tray jammed) google that. clip trick the dell manuals covers this
