Return it if the warranty is good. Otherwise find a repair shop that will look at it and tell you what is wrong, then find the part online and fix it yourself.

TV won't turn on
Hi!That's a clear indication that you have a bad power supply in your TV.If you know how to DiY...I suggest you open your TV. Locate the power supply section, it is where the end of the power plug is connected. Replace all blown or bulge or leaked capacitors with same value. That will fix your TV problem. The hardest part is to disassembling your TV cover, cause you will need to pry off the snap in lock at the edge of your TV.Power supply board should look like this. Examine the capacitors in the board
After replacing blown capacitors...it should work again.
Things you will need.1. A plastic flat end screw or any object with flat ends....to fry off the cover2. Soldering iron.3. Soldering lead4. Soldering pump.5. Flat and Philip Screw6. Replacement capacitors (of same value with the blown one) that you can buy to any electronics store.Hope it helps
Black and white screen only on DSTV?
RCA video cables handle analog signals. HDMI cables carry digital video signals. You need a converter. If you are using a component video converter, check if you swapped two of the three RCA video cables. (There are some A/V projectors that can do the translation of RCA and HDMI internally. Most TVs do not.)
I hope this helps.

(One of my family's TVs used a dongle to condense the analog video signal to a single port, swapping blue and green gave a black and white output, IIRC.)
I have an RCA re20qp80 remote that the mute button doesn't work
Most modern tv remotes are not normally designed to be repaired. You will possibly need to replace it. there are plenty of cheaper after market version that will do the job just as well. Your other option, and yes I know this is a silly answer, when you want to mute the TV is to simply press the volume down button to zero then turn it back up when you want sound.
