Are you sure that power supply is coming fine from that power panel? Otherwise it should not use Battery.

Go to www.moultriefeeders.com...under mini cameras find the M80...open "full details"...scroll to bottom and find manuals/downloads...where it says upgrade click and download to your pc...be sure you download for your camera as Moultrie named all their camera downloads the same, but each is model specific...it will download as a compressed file.I use windows to extract file directly to NEW SD card installed in my PC's card reader slot.If your computer doesn't have a card reader, connect one thru a USB port.Once you have upgrade unzipped to the sd card, put card into the M80 and switch the camera to the "aim" position....should show "upgrade NO"..press up/down key to change to "yes"; press enter and wait...DO NOT TURN OFF CAMERA AND USE NEW BATTERIES...camera will turn itself off when done.Power on camera and test it out.This has solve the trail err and a few other issues with the M80.

Don't turn cam on...just plug into an USB port and Windows should recognize it and cam goes into USB mode...a pop up should appear with options...use the picviewer option.

On the Moultrie website in the menu at top left click on minicams...opens to show the M80, M100, and another...I clicked on "full details" below ad for the M80; opened to caera details; scroll to bottom and click on software downloads...should show Plot Stalker M80, M100,I45...I have downloaded and extracted but haven't tried it out yet.

had to program mine thru setup menu for mode I wanted to use..pressing mode and hold several times works sometimes.

try another card...these M80s are sensitive about SD cards, and a card used in one device won't work in another M80???Do the SD101...Check the write protect switch on side of SD card; make sure card slot has no debris or bent pins...blow it out with duster or contact cleaner.

O.K.,I assume you use two SD cards, take out the one in the camera, put a blank one in the camera,and bring the one that was in the camera home to review pics on your PC...unless you have a laptop you carry to the field with you.Either case, you viewed SD card and nothing...switch on side of card pushed forward toward contacts?Always deleted pics using camera's delete function..NEVER DELETE USING PC;NEVER FORMAT USING PC;...Moultrie says to only use high quality SD's...recommend Sandisk or Lexar...I never had problems with any SD as long as I stay with name brands...I find I have accidently moved write protect switch; deleted before thought from PC...or PC says card needs formatting before use...DON'T..this is just PC not recognizing card's format..try different cards,they do get corrupted...make sure card insertion slot is free of debris...blow it out with contact cleaner/duster,ect....then the M80 has a software upgrade from www.moultriefeeders.com.

I hear Cuddyback makes a good camera. Moultree can't seem to keep theirs working and don't care if they work.
