The lid has hinges on the back so it rotates back from the front. The front is held in place but two metal clips. Push a metal spatula in the seam between the top and front to release the clips. Clips are about 1/4 in from each side.

If this is a front loader and older model check the spider arm on the back of the drum it may be corroded and putting the drum off center at low speed. I just replaced the drum to tub gasket and the spider arm which was severely corroded (name may not be correct go to the LG parts site)

I just finish repairing my LG front loader and this sounds like the same issue. The back of the drum has a spider arm and spindle arrangement (think that the name) the spider are was corroded and broke after 10 years, this puts the drum off balance and chews up the gasket. I had to also repair the wash tub where the drum had worn into it and JB Weld worked fine. It all seem to work fine now.

DL is indeed a door lock error. The code is generated when the CCU can't lock the door. Possible causes are door latch mechanism, connecting wiring, or the CCU. You could hear clicking from the CCU machine which indicated to me the CCU was trying to lock the door. It tries 6 times before setting the F/DL code.
?Check Door Lock/Switch Assembly for foreign objects
?Check Wire Harness connections to the Door Lock/Switch Assembly

All the best !

Hello Johan,
This sounds like the pump has jammed up or the pump has failed. Remove pump and check wether there is anything jamming it up.
also if you put it on a spin cycle check if the pump is humming.
If Yes, there is your problem.
You will need to remove the pump to check that out.
Make sure it iturn freely.

Hello Tj Sunday,
The E6 error is telling you that the clutch is causing the error or fault. This fault can happen if a paperclip, nail, coin, or a foreign object is jammed in between the tub and pulsator. To clear the E6 error code on a top load LG washer: Take out all clothing or towels from the washer.
Good Luck,
