Kenmore 600 3.5 cu. ft. Top Load 110-2962 Washer Questions & Answers
My kenmore washing machine fills up and agitates but does not spin
Lid must be closed for spin to start.
If the lid is closed and still no spin, the sensor (switch) for the lid may be bad. If you can locate it and manually trip the sensor, you may find it out of adjustment. Yours may be on the rear-left of the top of washer.
Replacing the sensor isn't too difficult or costly...but, always-always unplug the power before you work on it.
If you have determined that it is not the sensor, give the timer a little click forward. If that works...the timer may be going bad (not advancing).
Does the spin work in other wash cycles? If so, it might be bad timer.
