cant find any info on unit about screw direction try removing it in counter clockwise if tightens go other direction or notify company about specs for recoil

if its emptying when not in use i'd say that the prime valve is leaking on the atmosphere side, allowing the fuel to drain back into the tank.

not necessarily, its a primer after all. Its job is to merely prime the carb with fuel, depending on what your operators book says, you may have to give it anywhere from 1 to 5 pumps. It shouldn't be sucking too much air but like most things after time they can wear and the valve may be letting in a small amount of air, if its not effecting the running of the machine then I wouldn't worry too much.

cutting hubs on trimmers are held on by a left hand thread nut turn the hub center / nut in the right direction ( as if doing it up)and it will come undone
