FISHER PAYKEL FAULT CODE 9
if its a top loader that is incorrect it mean machine needs resizing and if tht doesnt work a new main control module
Error codes 49 and 245
Fault code 49 is water valves - usually, the stop working when the rubber diaphagm inside gets hard, so a resistance only test is not conclusive (only tells us the solenoid is OK).
- Do a cold fill and a hot fill (briefly) to check for strong water flow on both.
- Regarding code 245, does water pump out strongly?
- One more thought, because these codes are both related to the water level in the machine, remove the level sensor hose at the controller end and blow into it to clear any blockage.
Leaking underneath machine
Hi there..... mine did the same a couple of months ago, kept towels around, monitored, seemed to stop after some days (uses); Any update on yours ? Self-healed, Repairman, or Replaced ?
How to start clean me cycle ?
Switch to Powdered Detergent and you wont have to clean your washer. Liquids leave a smelly, corrosive residue on the inside of the machine, use only Powder and leave the lid up when not in use to defeat the slime!
Where is the flapper valve?
Inside the drain pump. You can get to it by removing the spin bowl. Remove the 2 screws holding the pump cover & lift the cover off to expose the flapper valve.
Is there a filter in the machine that \i should be cleaning as i keep getting black bits on the clothes?
The black bits are scum flaking off from between the inner & outer bowls, usually more common with cold water wash. Place old towel in washer, fill washer to high level with hot water, add washing soda & or vinegar, let washer run to end of wash cycle, turn off & let it soak for around an hour, turn back on & let it go through cycle. Commercial washing machine cleaning products should also be availably in your supermarket / hardware stores. You may need to repeat process until no more gunk comes out.
What could be causing is a smell coming out from the back of the washing machine?
Have you run a "Clean Up" cycle - it is important to do this to ensure your clothes are clean and the machine works at it's peak. If you use it heavily, you should do this every three or four months. You can find this cycle under "Lifestyle" and you should put 1 cup of oxyaction soaker in at the beginning of the cycle and it needs hot water to work. It takes about 3 hours, but is well worth the time.
There is no other real reason for a smell, unless something has died - in which case you should move the machine and remove any deceased animal.
