No there is not any connection between battery and sound.Probably you have to clean or change the speaker

Hey,try checking with different laptop or phone connecting with your wifi.You will figure it out whether it is a wifi problem or your phone.If it is the phone problem try to reset so that it may solve the problem.Because i had undergone the same and i tried to reset as it is a brand new phone and i dnt have much applications , pictures and other stuffs on my phone and it worked fine.I dont know how it solved the issue, but i guessed it would solve and i performed the reset.You can also try with this.Good luck:)

I faced the samed problem.A lot of minor issues regarding the handset could be solved through restoring of the factory settings. Go to Settings-privacy-Factory data reset, select "Reset Phone" and click the pop-up icon "Erase everything". The reset process takes about one minute and after that the handset will be restarted and stop on an English interface. Pull out the battery directly and reinstall it to turn on the handset.You need to backup the data before you reset the phone.

This might be due to some glitch with the system software. In this case you can just reset your device once or upgrade the software from your phone to fix the mic issues.

Try to check with a different battery and also charge with a different charger if this doesnt work then contact the Metro PCS for help.
