Sound no picture how I can fix this

Hi Silvio, If your LCD TV or monitor has stopped working, or is displaying one of the following symptoms, then it's a candidate for some new capacitors - Flickering screen - Screen image disappears after several seconds - Dim screen - Slow start - Power LED on, but no picture - Unusual colors and/or lines The primary cause of LCD TV and monitor failure is caused by faulty capacitors. You can examine the capacitors in your LCD TV or monitor and actually see if they are bad. If they appear bulged on top, then they need to be replaced. New capacitors will solve a host of problems in LCD monitors and TV's and will extend the life of your monitor or TV by several years. Check the cables, connectors and connections. Take it to a repair shop. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR2iWN6b-LY LCD TV Repair No Power Power Supply Common Symptoms Solutions How to...

Hey Carson, Without seeing the set, it is hard to pin down the problem. But I would guess you have a problem with either the t-con board, t-con ribbon connection problem, or a failing LCD panel. Samsungs are known for premature panel failures. The problem is by that time you pay a diagnosis fee, parts and labor, you would be close to the price of a new set. If you are financially able to buy another set, I would do so and toss your old one on Craigslist. If you get $40 bucks for it take the money and run !!!

How do I troubleshoot my Samsung TV? I have sound, but no picture.

Caps can fail with no outward signs. It takes a special meter to test them. Your set may have a back light inverter that powers the back lights. When it fails, the picture cant be seen, but you have sound, to check this look for a picture on the screen using a flashlight

Why dont i have a picture?

Hi, not sure if you have the same fault as i had, but our tv only had half the screen go off, after looking up on the internet i found a video for a fix, what you need to do is remove the back cover, there will be ribbons that go from the front screen to the main panel, i removed each one at a time and rubbed the contacts of the ribbon with a rubber on the end of a pencil, plugged them all back in and switched it on and it was now spot on, thats more than a year ago and its still working spot on, hope this helps jim

Sounds like the LCD Panel, if under warranty contact Samsung warranty for service. If out of warranty, watch it until you tire of it then replace the unit as the cost of a new panel is more than a new unit.
