hey underwent the problem and i think there is no concern of the indicator lights they may be flashing or they may be solid as well . but the only thing that u should take care of is the powerlight it should not be blinking .
well if the wireless keeps on disconnecting at a regular period of time ....CHANGE THE BEACON LEVEL FROM 100 to 70(beacon means the signals propating time of the router )...
if it still doesn't work then u can surely call the customer care of ur routers company and they will provide u with the replacement of this router ....

junk it and get something that doesn't impede the speed

Login in using your browser and go to the wireless settings and set-up a wireless password/key. Remember the key because each device will now need it to connect. You can also turn OFF Broadcast SSID and your network name will not be shown on anyone's device. You must remember the network name when using this method

If you forgot the router password, you will have to do a hard factory reset by locating a small hold on the back of the router and insert the tip of of paper clip for about 10 seconds while the power is on. The router will be reset to out of box status and then you can set-up form scratch.

Either the router does not support WPS-with-PIN, or it is printed on the bottom of the router.

Start from the beginning, is it plug into a working AC outlet?, is the plug fully into the AC jack?, wiggle the plug at the AC jack, it may be a bad AC jack connection due to damage. I believe the pick up signal for your internet connection should be wired, the D-Link device will create it's own local home network for you.
I don't think the D-link can connect to another network Wireless, only create it's own.

well just reset your wireless router and configure it again....

1. Turn off the router

2. Locate the Reset button on the back of the router.

3. Use a paper clip to press the Reset button and power on.

4. Hold for about 5 seconds (don't hold too long) and then release. (Or, release when M1 and M2 flash at the same time.)

5. After you have completed the above steps, the router will be reset to the factory default settings

Then open up the browser and type in 192.168.0.1

It will ask you for a username(leave it blank) and password (admin).

is your Router old? it could be wearing down. have you refreshed your Ip address and is there concrete metal anything that would interfere etc

You should download and read manual pages covering Using the Configuration Menu that begins on page 10. Securing your wireless is detailed starting on page 12 for WEP, page 13 for WPA (only if you have a Radius Server - most likely not) and page 14 for WPA-PSK.

Nearly all devices support the older WEP encryption method. The downside is that it is easily defeated with software in under 10 minutes. A much better, more robust method is WPA-PSK. It can not be defeated (yet). If you choose WPA-PSK, any device that you connect wirelessly to this router MUST support WPA-PSK as well, otherwise it will NOT be able to connect.

It is very likely because the printer is using the same IP address as one of the pc's. If you manually entered an IP to the printer, then you should check to see none of the pcs is using the same IP.
Try restarting all the pcs after the printer gets connected.

The factory default User name is admin and the default Password is blank (empty). It is recommended that you change the admin password for security purposes. Please refer to Tools>Admin to change the admin password.

If the password has been installed, and you cannot remember it, look for a recessed button usually located by the power input plug and press and hold it for about 10 seconds. Then pull the power out and plug back in (to restart) This action will wipe all settings back to factory. Which means you will have to setup wireless password and any ISP (Internet Service Providor) settings needed to access your service.
