Probably the driver isn't installed properly. Try updating the driver for PC-CAM 300 and PC-CAM 600.

Interesting, I have read about this problem on other forums, yet I have two of these cameras and have no problems with Win98me, or xp, it dosn't seem to work on my linux computer, you're not using that awful apple stuff are you?
just plug it into the usb port when the pc is up & running, switch on the camera which prompts you for various options, click ok for pc.
the camera pops up in my computer as a removable disk, your photos are in there somewhere.
try plugging it into a friends pc.
no drivers are necessary unless you want to use it as a pc cam

If there is a separate memory card, pull it out and use a card-reader. This is always the easiest way to download.

Go to in Creative website: Change your country -> Asia -> Korea (Republic of) -> English -> go -> support -> downloads -> Web cameras -> PC-CAM -> PC-CAM 600 --> (Bingo!)

cleaning this cam is beyond economic repair... if you can dismantle this one, good for you.. if you'll seek pro fix, better buy new.

try to download drivers and software, upgrading is necessary.

look for cam cable loose connection, or the cable itself is bad!( it's the common problem, check the cable end tips!) uninstalling, installing and reinstalling any software and driver is useless too. The pc must recognize first your webcam, if the connection is not good theres no way it can be detected by the pc.

try to relocate your cam away from monitor, speakers or from pc. there maybe interference coming from these units. you may also try moving the cam cable and check for loose or intermittent connections. try removing/ reinserting the cable several times, this will gonna clean the pc to cam contacts

I had the same problem with my PC-CAM 600. I went to the OEM site. Downloaded drivers and re-installed them. Try and see if solves your problem.
