did you remove the tape over the printer head first

check if there is any paper jam and clean it. check ink cartridges if are properly fitting.check if anything else causes printer stuck (for exp. i have found pencil inside printer)

Sounds like some firmware error. Try disconnecting all cables for one or two hours. Then start again. Otherwise call HP support.

INK PROBLEM Inkjet printers need to be used frequently to prevent ink drying out and blocking the print head nozzles. If the print head cleaning maintenance routine does not clear the blockages, then print head needs replacing, but it may be expensive. It may be more cost effective to buy a later model and better printer than replace the print head.

1. Click and select. (Settings) > Devices > Printers & scanners.
2. Select your product and click Manage.
3. Click Printer properties.
4. Select the Ports tab.
5. Select the Enable bidirectional support checkbox and click OK.
