Re-launch the firmware flash and follow this order of flashing machine.
- Flash BOOT
- Flash SYSTEM
- Flash Language
- Cycle power and let machine boot normally.

If your Canon is on a network, you may try opening up Safari and in the URL bar, where you can type in a website, you can type in the IP address of the printer. If you can successfully do that, you can look for your driver for the MAC and download it and try again to install. If you have been to Canon's website and cannot find drivers for your upgraded OS, then it may not be possible to install your printer. Good luck in you quest!

How to repair flashing paper jam on Canon PC940 printer copier
Depending upon the copier, with some of these, you can press a button and it displays where the jam has occurred. As annoying as knowing that happens to be, here is the repair manual. Starting on page 11-75, there is in intricate detail, step by step procedures for clearing the jam, apparently depending upon the location of the jam. One instantly feels like one has fallen down the rabbit hole. It does take concentration and the un-crossing of eyes to wade through the steps. On the Canon site, there is a reference to cleaning it of a static charge if there is a repeated pattern of jams.
