The PC unit is user replacable. The life of the unit is 45000 impressions. Customer cost for the unit is $213.52 + tax. It can not be reset but if your copy quality is OK it dosn't hurt to run the machine as is. When you start experiencing quality problems you will have to replace it. Just contact your local RICOH authorized dealer and order the part. It will come with installation instructions.

The power supply unit within the printer also would have damaged while the surge took place . The SMPS - the power supply - is quite sensitive to the power surge and so could have damaged the driver or the front end . you need to take a look at the SMPS unit to confirm. remove the power supply and check for fuse, if the fuse blows again then you have a problem in hand.
