Problem in scanner when scan

Try adding the scanner's IP address in the scnhosts file in the TWAIN folder. Format is similar to the windows hosts file. You'll see a commented out sample entry, just modify that to suit your needs.

This may or may not work for you; we had it working under this configuration but then it stopped for no apparent reason. also note that scanrouter isn't supported under vista. Only advice I've been given so far is to revert to sending scans via SMTP - not ideal!

Hi, Afficio 2018 has error

In most cases the printer driver software can have errors while being in use or is shut down. So to reset remove your printer from the PC and uninstall the printer software. Now reinstall the printer software and then connect the Printer to be detected as a new hardware as it will be installed. Now check the printer properties to see the ink levels.
Activate head cleaning before a test is taken . Sometimes it is possible that the head is not reacting to the need of the PC command or can be an issue with ink drying or
poor ink cartridge contacts.

My Ricoh afficio 2018d has

Hi,

From what i understand this error is the pressure roller thermistor, this could be either dirty or faulty. it is recommended to replace the rear and middle one at the same time.

Below is a link to the service guide manual for your ricoh which should show you how to replace the thermistor or how to clean it.

When use adf with letter paper sise, push print

is there any sensors on the adf unit, if so is the paper being feed into the adf unit, there might be a bad/defective sensor, try placing a letter size sheet on the document glass and make a copy, if it copies you have a problem with the adf, and it needs to be serviced

Hi i just want to

first of all do a service of your copier machine and clean all mirrors and lenses and the main glass.
then clean the chargers, transfer charger and primary charger. Primary charger is placed in Drum unit, clean the photo-conductive drum and its cleaning blade.
this may be useful for you

We are getting an SC:670 error from time to time

Hi,

This is a common error on this machine.

SC670 mistake Engine Response

Explanation -
After powering on the machine, a response is not received from the engine within 30 second

Which means when the main power is turned on or the machine starts warming up from energy-saving mode, the controller does not receive a command signal from the BCU. There could be few possibilities that you need to check and diagnose :-


• Loose connection
• Defective controller
• Defective BCU

You can try these things:

1. Turn the main switch off and on.
2. Check the connection between the
BCU and controller.
3. Replace the controller.
4. Replace the BCU.
After replacing the BCU or controller, remove the NVRAM on the old board and put it on the new one.

This should be the series of troubleshooting. Unfortunately, this is not an easy fix. If you do not have any repair experience, i would advise you to call a Ricoh professional so that he could take care of the problem.
