There are usually contacts on the cartridge that interface with a reader in the printer to detect the chip in the cartridge. Examine a cartridge and look for any electrical contacts, make sure they don't look damaged or dirty clean them with 98% isopropyl alcohol. With the printer powered off and upplugged, try to find the corresponding contacts inside the printer for each of the contacts on the cartridge, clean those too.

If that doesn't change, try a different cyan cartridge, if that still doesn't work you will probably have to get the machine serviced.

sc670 is an engine startup error. A lot of times if you reset the copier (turn it off with the orange switch on the left side of the front cover, then turn it back on) the error will go away. If it doesn't the BCU board may need to be replaced.

Depending on how your network is set up, you have a couple options. If you have no network, then you can not print unless the machine is equip with a parallel print connection.

Press and hold both arrow keys for 5 seconds, let go then press enter. This will enter service mode. You will need to search through the menu system for the particular option you want.

If you already have the program installed delete it, restart your computer and then install from here. It has all of the drivers you need. I could not find a manual and you may not need it after you download this program. Hope this helps and thanks for using FixYa.

Hi, there is an option for how many copies to print in the printer driver. When you hit Print in the program you want to print from, a box of printer options should appear, including which printer you want to print to. There will be a field, probably about halfway down the screen, asking for the number of copies you want to print. Change this to 60 before proceeding and you will make 60 prints of your document or image. Hope that helps!

Hello there, i have the same problem here, but in the black
toner, i did the same as you and look that we have a clogged
pump or bad pump, the pump is located exactly where the dev.
unit is, but to remove it we need to take the laser unit from
the top cover where the printed pages stack, i'm going to work
in my printer, i let you now if i'm able to unclogg the pump.

If this link doesn't work, follow these steps:

- Go to Ricoh-USA.com
- Click Downloads on the blue bar along the top
- Click "Download Ricoh Drivers & Software"
- Select the AP3800C from the drop-down list under Printers, B&W/Color/Gel and then click Go
- Choose your operating system from the list
- Download the two files listed under Mac OS X 10.5

Once the files are downloaded, you should be able to install the print driver normally.

Unfortunately, on the AP3800C the oil supply unit is part of the fusing unit. However, you can purchase just the oil supply portion of the fusing unit and replace that (part #G0604022).

I'm not sure how much that would cost, but it's got to be cheaper than a whole new fusing unit.

Sounds like under printer prefferences is set to sample or some such. -Carl (you are using a postscript driver right?)

The machine has a problem reading the memory chip on the toner.

Check if the chip is not lose or damaged or durty
Check the harnass or the chip reader and pins and clean.
Replace toner

after replacing the toner and the problem is still there you can do a engine clear.
