How to move my calendar from Palm m500 to iPhone?
The best way is to transfer the Calendar and Contacts to Outlook. The iPhone can then be synced with Outlook.
Unfortunately, tasks and memos do not transfer. You will need to find other 3rd party apps that are supported on the iPhone and transfer your data to them.
Two examples are:
1. Evernote - This is good for memo. You can export your memos and then import them into Evernote. unfortunately, when I did this, it was a bit tricky. I even had to write a little PERL script to create the format that it wanted.
2. RemembertheMilk - this is a todo application

I bought my m500 on
Hi,
It sounds like the device is locked to the previous user.
You need to perform a hard reset on the device to wipe all the previous users data and make it your own.
- Press and hold the Power (on/off) button on the front panel of your device.
- While holding Power, use an unfolded paper clip, or the reset tool at the tip of your stylus. Gently press and release the RESET button inside the hole on the back panel of your device.
- If you see a progress bar (see below), keep holding the Power button.
- Next, the Palm Powered screen will appear. Release the Power button when you see it.
- You'll see a screen that asks: Erase all data? YES = "up" button NO = any other button. Press UP on your 5-way navigator to complete the hard reset.
Please post back if you need anymore help or advice.
Regards.

Hard reset how do i clear all of the info beside
HI,
To do a hard reset follow these instructions:
1. Hold down the power button and then depress the small hole in the back
with the tip of your stylus.
2. Continue to hold them both in until you
see the
Palm logo.
3. Let go of both of them and then follow the onscreen
directions. You will want to answer yes and use the 5 way navigation
button on the bottom of your pda
and hit up so that is completes the reset. After that you will have to
set up your touch screen and go through the tapping the target. After
you have gone through all this then do a hotsync. It should clear up your problem. Best wishes.

LogPad function
I contacted the seller of the PDA and described to him the problem I was having with it. After swapping some e-mails, he determined that the PDA was defective and offered to replace it. I agreed to this and sent him the defective unit and he will ship me a new one. I have his e-mail address, so I can contact him if any problems with the new unit should arise.
Thanks anyway. I will definitely keep you in mind should I have any further trouble that I cannot otherwise resolve.

Pda
Sounds like we have a little issue here. The first thing I would suggest, would be to use a different charger, maybe check to see if the electric cord is hooked up right. Try initiating a HotSync operation. Good luck!

Charging
1. Check the fuse in the charger's plug (if accessible).
2. Try plugging it in to a different wall socket to rule that out.
3. Try cleaning the plug that connects to the device with a lint-free cloth or a CD wipe.
4. Carefully try cleaning the power socket on the device with a cotton bud and (if you have one) an air duster.
Post back if non if this helps.

Hotsync with XP Pro and Exchange
Good question - how to elevate your rights for a particular user.
Your administrator needs to log you in under your username and temporarily grant you the rights to install software, install a driver and to write to the registry. The rights need to be left active thru the time that you perform your first HotSync operation, as this is the moment when the driver is activated (the registry entries geet written when a driver is 'enumerated').
