Casio Exilim Z-9: Upload pictures from internal memory?
Don't think you really need to use the software do you? I think you can simply plug in the usb port and browse to "my computer", it should show up as a "removable device" in the dialog window, or may call it "Casio" or similar. Open it and browse to the pictures folder, and "copy, "paste" to your hard drive, but I'm only guessing...hope it helps :)
EX-S500 lens stuck closed.
If you camera is in warranty then I recommend you contact the manufacturer for an RMA so that you may return it for repair.
All digital cameras selling for under $500 have a failure/problem rate higher than what most of us consider acceptable. If you are outside the manufacturers warranty but you have a retailers extended warranty then contact them. (I believe that extended warranties rarely provide a good return on investment. However, for digital cameras my experience shows a better investment because of the rate of failures with prolonged ownership...I have no vested interest in extended warranties.)
If you do not get satisfaction from the manufacturer or retailer; then regrettably you have few reasonable choices. With your next camera you may decide to include some thoughts herein during your purchase.
