DOWNLOAD PICTURES TO THE COMPUTER
The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.
Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo management program such as Picasa ( http://picasa..google.com ).

Hi, there is only 1 mirror in your camera. Is it the mirror you see or the focusing screen above it? Not a 'home fix', try getting an on-line quote from any well know repair company like KEH.com or from Canon directly.
I keep getting Err 01 and no photo is taken what
ERR 01 is a lens to body communication error. Clean the lens and body contacts (put a small amount of alcohol on a Q-tip - do not use rubbing alcohol!!!). Try again. If that doesn't work, problem may be in lens or body. Using the flat of your fingernail, push in the contacts on the body inside the mirror box to clean any tarnishing between the contacts the the circuit (they are spring loaded). Try another lens - if the other lens works, then your problem is in the first lens. If it still gives the ERR 01 code then the problem is in the body.Has the camera been impacted or had water/liquid spillage?
I have a canon 350D and Problem is err99.when I
The most common issue that brings about the Err99 is an issue between the lens and the body, but it could actually come from a variety of problems. Two things you could do:1) Clean the contact points on both the Camera and your lens (be careful not to get any dirt into your camera - best to hold it in the air facing down when you are cleaning it)2) Remove your batteries and memory cards (most cameras also have a small battery for the Date/Time), turn the switch on for a minute or so, then turn it off and replace the batteries and memory cardsI know the original 300D and even the 350D had a very limited shutter lifespan, if you've had the camera for a long while and have taken many pictures it is possible that this may be related to your issue.
Camera still dead with a new charged battery. Is
If you have another battery definitely give it a try, most likely it won't work either. The problem is probably the fuse located on the DC/DC board that has 'blown' causing there to be no power. Replace the board and the camera should work fine. Canon will probably charge $175 or so for the repair.
Hope this helps.

Camera will turn on but screen stays black and
These have problems with the bottom right screw on the rear board coming out and shorting out part of the circuit. Remove the rear cover and check to see if the screw is in place. Note that they can be anywhere in the camera and while sometimes they just short out fuses sometimes they blow circuit boards
I try to take a picture and this comes on the
This is a common problem with SD & SDHC type memory cards - and is easily fixed.Remove the card from the camera and inspect the edge for a sliding tab and lock indicator.
You can see the tab & lock indicator on the left side edge in the picture of the front of the card above. Slide the tab UP - away from the lock position - as shown in the picture. The card is now able to be written. When the tab is in the lock position, the card may only be read.Carefully reinsert the card into the camera - taking effort to see that the tab is not bumped / moved back into the lock position. You should be able to take pictures and have them saved to the card - without the locked message from this point on.I hope this helps & good luck!
Shadow across photo
Shadows, especially circular shadows, are pretty common with the pop-up flash. What you are seeing is actually the shadow cast by the end of the lens. This happens especially on wider angle shots.
The solution is to find a way to get the lens out of the way of the flash. You can get an external flash, like a 430ex or 580ex, which elevates the flash far above the lens. That is an expensive option so first you might try making a diffuser for your pop up flash, which softens the source of light and helps eliminate some shadows:
