This laptop is made by Mitac and sold by many computer companies (in the UK at least) such as Hi-Grade, Evesham and Medion.
This has a common fault which is being found on more and more laptop computers these days and that is that the video chip overheats due to lack of cooling and the cheap (WEII Compliant) lead free solder that is used to fix it to the motherboard cracks.
Common signs of this fault can be one or more of the following-
No Power light when charger connected
Battery not charging
Internal fan not running
And of course no picture
Repairing it is difficault. If you remove the bottom panel you will see a silver heat sink half under the plastic edge (this could so easily have been connected to the CPU heatsink arm and this of been avoided!). If you apply some light pressure to the top of it and switch your machine back on it usually will boot.
If it does and you want a fast fix then wedging some card between the top of the sink and the plastic casing may keep it alive for a while longer. If on the other hand your a pro or feel it's shi t or bust time then get a blow lamp and (like walking over broken glass) carefully heat the chip to reflow the solder beneth it. Do not apply any pressure to it when hot as the solder it is connected with is designed to be about 1mm from the motherboard surface. Pressing it will look like you have bitten into a hot dog and the mustard has spurted out both ends, except obviously with solder and a GPU (not so tasty!)
I shouldn't have to mention this but some people arn't so bright so please don't take offence: Remove the motherboard along with any cables, ram and the processor before attempting the blow lamp method!
It is actually professionally done this way except with a 'Rework Station) and not a blow lamp! I have however done it with an electric blow lamp I bought from Argos for £12 several times on various machines with all but one failing to revive.
Just as a note, the Xbox 360 RROD (Red Ring Of Death) is caused by the same issue. It can also be repaired using this method although there are safer alternatives in that case.

Try attaching an external monitor to the laptop & see if you could get any display on it. If this is successful, then you might have either a faulty LCD cable or screen inverter board.
The LCD cable transfers data signal from the motherboard & video card to the LCD screen. It also supplies high voltage DC power to the screen inverter board. The screen inverter board works as a power supply for the backlight lamp mounted inside the LCD screen. It converts low voltage DC power to high voltage AC power needed for the backlight lamp
