Not compatible with Microsoft 7
Hello,
Microsoft is still working with the device manufacturer to confirm this product's compatibility with Windows 7.
Microsoft Sidewinder Force has no driver for Windows 7
provided by Microsoft.
This is unfortunate.....
Take care.

Hi,
Where can I download the
Hi.
There is no Mac OS driver for the Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 as this is a PC only devices. The Microsoft Sidewinder 2 occasionally works on Mac with only few (old) games. This happens because some game has built in controller software for the Microsoft device.
I suggest getting a device designed for Mac OS.

No force feedback only with Flight Sim. 2004
O-the sweet feel of a Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback lets see if I can be of some help. there could be any number of things going on but I'm going to give this a try. have you checked the settings in Flight Simulator 2004 seems to me that I remember a check box that said disable force feedback make sure that is unchecked. also in the settings for your controller there is a box that says enable force feedback make sure that is checked. then make sure if you are using a firewall like zone alarm you are in gaming mode because this used to give me major headaches with my system to the point I had to detach from the internet and shut down my firewall to play my games. if this doesn't work you may have to reinstall the drivers for the sidewinder this is the last easy option and it should repair any broke links and reset itself into your system. Please let me know how this helped if you need more Ideas just contact me.

Dead Sidewinder2 Force Feedback
OK please don't underrate me for telling you the truth your controller is dead.. there is no magic word or driver or can of cleaner you can use to bring it back. that white residue around the main CPU is most likely caused from corrosion in other words water has shorted it out. but not all is lost because I lost mine the same way you did and I refused to give up on it. to be honest I was just too cheap to go buy another so I turned to ebay. I purchased a used one there for a total of $10.00 that had missing buttons and a busted handle I purchased it immediately and when I got it in I took my handle and buttons and placed them on the controller from ebay. It worked perfectly and I could not have been more happy. if this sounds like something you can do you can fix it for next to nothing.... I hope this has been of some help

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback 2 Joystick
There are two x sensor holes in the grip , one top one bottom, they control the force feed back gimbals in the base you need from time to time make sure they are clear just spray them with some alcohol base solution and give them i light probe with a tooth pick to make sure there is no gunk blocking up the holes .
Good luck.
Grazz .

Microsoft Force Feedback 2 joystick
I have the same problem - have lost all stick forces (everything else works fine) and the Forces self test that can be run from the original CD software says there is no electrical power. Have changed the fuse etc. but problem remains. I think something inside the device hardware is bust. Like you I cannot find anything on the Internet as to how or where the device can be repaired!
