I constantly lose connectivity with my Macbook

This is a problem with the wireless settings of your router, so the first thing that you can do to correct this is to change the channel on your router if after that still having the same problem the next step is to update the firmware of the router and that will resolve your problem..

Macbook pro and belkin router

Can you check if you have problems with your internet connection?
How about your browser? i recommend using mozilla firefox browser because i assure that it it the fastest browser.

If you have no problems with your internet connection probably you may want to check if your device are working properly.

Consider:
The type of Internet connection you use is the most important factor in determining your connection speed. The three most common ways to connect to the Internet from home are dial-up, DSL, and cable. If you have a choice, cable is usually the fastest, but both DSL and cable are faster than dial-up.

The health of your computer can affect your Internet connection.Spyware and viruses can definitely cause problems, but your Internet connection speed can also be affected by add-on programs, the amount of memory the computer has, hard disk space and condition, and the programs that are running.
Two of the most frequent causes of poor Internet performance are spyware and viruses. Spyware can slow your system by interfering with your browser and monopolizing your Internet connection. Spyware monitors your Internet use and keystrokes, which adds delays. The problem is compounded when there are multiple spyware programs running at the same time. If the problem is severe enough, you can lose connectivity altogether. To get your Internet performance back, you should regularly run an antispyware program to clean out any spyware infestation.

Computer viruses can also cause poor Internet performance. When a virus infects a computer, it installs computer code which will attempt to propagate itself, usually by sending copies of itself through e‑mail. Some viruses can multiply at the rate of hundreds of e‑mail messages per minute, which leaves little computing power and Internet connection bandwidth for anything else. Viruses often do not give any obvious indication that they are running, so it is best to run your antivirus software at all times.

Thank you : ) i hope my information works.
Please pm me if none of the options work. :)

My Belkin N Router isnt broadcasting a wireless signal.

Reset the Router:
Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit.
Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button.
Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds.
Step 4 Release the Reset button.
Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting.
Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults.
When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds

Part # F5D8233-4 belkin wirless router need software cd

You don't need the cd. It has a connection wizard that helps set it up but you don't need to use that. You need to go to the belkin website and download the manual. That was also on the cd that's missing. Used to be a paper one in the box.

http://cache-www.belkin.com/support/dl/f5d8233-4_v1_manual.pdf

That will tell you how to get setup. For the most part routers run as is right out of the box. You will want to setup the wifi so you will need a SSID name to call it and then turn on the security. WEP or WPA are the usual suspects. Pick a 5 or 10 alphanumeric key. Turn on the wifi. Then you may need to enable dhcp so your computers will get ip numbers from the the router. Most of that is enabled by default on most routers. Wifi usually isn't as it requires more information.

Lights wont turn off even if netwrk wires are unplugged..

You'll have to hold your reset button down for atleast 10 seconds, or even more, then you'll have to reconfigure you entire connnection at address 192.168.2.1.
However before doing that, try and power down the whole unit for a minute or so and power it back up, then go to you computer's wireless connection and renew your IP address [that's if you have automatically assigned addresses]. otherwise you might have to check that you router and computer are operating on the same page [ by this I mean, if your router is assigning automatic IP, make sure your computer is not set to use a static IP, In my years of network, this has always been problem I have experienced on some routers]

I lost my network security key, router is not working.

Get the user manual to verify how to make a master reset on your router. There should be a small button inside a very little hole, on the back, that you should press with a pen.

Conect the router?

1. Unplug your DSL modem’s power supply.

Find the cable connecting your modem and computer.
Unplug it from the modem and plug it into the gray port
on the Belkin Router.

If you are replacing an existing router, find the cable
connecting the computer and old router. Disconnect it from
the old router and plug it into the gray port on the new router.

2. Connect the new cable (provided in the box) to the yellow
port on the Router.

Plug the other end into the modem.

3. Plug in your modem’s power supply. Wait 60 seconds for the
modem to start up.

Plug the Router’s power supply into a wall outlet, and the
other end into the black port on the Belkin Router.

As the Router wakes up, lights will come on; recheck your
connections if the “power” and one of the “wired” lights
are not lit up in green after 20 seconds.

4. Locate the CD in this guide and insert it into your computer.
The Setup Assistant should appear automatically.
If it doesn’t, open the CD in My Computer and double-click on the
“Setup Assistant” icon.It will guide you through he rest of the setup.

Macbook loses wireless internet connection

Hi 8233 is a good choice for a router
Here's your solution
1. These steps are to be performed strictly from a computer which is wired.
2.Even if you are using your mac book turn of the airport and connect it via a cable.
3. Open your router setup page by typing in 192.168.2.1 on your browser tab or typing i http://192.168.2.1 in the run window
4.An rsp will open and on the top right hand corner of the screen it will say Internet status:: connected
5.On the left hand side change you"ll see channell under wireless
6. Select it and change it to 6 or 11 for best signal strength
7.Now to the most important segment 8233 has a piculiar issue with its extra strong security
8.On the left hand side under wireless you"ll will see an option called wi-fi protected setup
9.Select it and turn it off reboot router and wow the problem should definately be resolved .
Then turn on airport and go wireless along with your wife.
10. You will still be secure with your data through security option on your router (wep or wpa )whatever you use .
Thank you and just let me know if it worked or not

Limewire connection

you need to find your router address from your manual (eg. 192.167.0.1). Then type this number in Internet Explorer address bar. If you did all ok at this point you should be opening browser control panel in Internet Explorer. Go to firewall page. Set Limewire software (you may need to use full path eg. C:\program files\limewire\) as an exception in ur firewall.

cheers

Network key/password

Resetting a router following the instructions in the users guide will generally erase all configuration in the router -- meaning all configuration will need to be completely redone. ASSURE YOU HAVE THE APPROPRIATE INFORMATION TO COMPLETE THIS TASK BEFORE STARTING.

User guides can generally be obtained by accessong the manufacturers website -- assuming the category is correct -- this link should get you to the belkin support web site.

There appear to be up to 4 questions to answer at the top of the screen to get access to downloadable information. If you need additional assistance please ask.

I need your help with connecting my psp online

You will first need to find the DNS setting which is probably 255.255.255.0 and IP address of your router, which is probably 192.168.2.1. Check your computers ip addresses which will be the next number up eg 192.168.2.2. You then need to go into the psp manual connection set up and use 192.168.2.5 as the psp ip address to be on the safe side and not duplicate an address. Set the dns primary and secondary server addresses as 255.255.255.0 and set the gateway address as 192.168.2.1( if that is your routers address, as the gateway is your router)
