Cartridge error 1102, but I
Try to remove your cartridges from the printer. Close the cover. Unplug and replug the printer into the power source to reset itself. When the printer turns on, reload the cartridges. If the error continues, one of the cartridges may have gone bad. In that case, please refer to this article on
1102 Error Message on the Lexmark P4300 Series All-In-One to determine the cause of the problem. You may contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance. Thanks.
Yes i got the cartridge
Please try the old cartridge and see if you get the same problem
If you don't then the new cartridge is defective and should be returned and exchanged for another
If it does give you the same problem please try the following
Remove all the ink cartridges from the machine
Then clean the contacts on the cartridges as well as inside the machine itself
Do this with a small amount of warm water on a cotton swab until no ink comes off on the swab
If any of the other cartridges are low, empty, leaking or bulging replace them
Then turn off the machine and unplug it for 70 seconds
Plug it back it and wait for the insert cartridges message
Insert the cartridges and check to see if the problem is still there
If it is it means the print head has failed
In order to fix this the print head inside the printer needs to be replaced
The print head is the part of the printer that puts ink from the cartridges onto the page
Unfortunately this can sometimes cost more to replace then the machine itself
The print head has seperate nozzles for each cartridge so it can print black for example and the color print blank even if the print head has failed.
What type of ink cartrige
It takes no. 32 for black and 33 for colour.

You can install your printer by going to Lexmarks website (
www.lexmark.com) and click on the "drivers and software" link. Enter your printer make and model number and follow the prompts to download your driver and/or software onto your laptop. After downloading, install all files before connecting your printer to your pc. Connect your printer when the sofware calls for it, or wait until finished.

I have a Lexmark P4350
Mostly, printer cartridge error occurs when the printer head is unable to identify the cartridge properly. And the basic reason behind this is that the cartridge is improperly attached.
To reattach the cartridge check the following steps :
turn on the lid of the printer and then remove the cartridge from the printer head.
Check the cartridge to make sure that there are no scratches or other damaged parts that can contribute to a printer cartridge error report.
Take note that the cartridge should not be left open for more than 30 minutes; otherwise the ink will start to dry up and the cartridge will get clogged.

In all likelihood your ink is running out. If your print monitor reports that you still have ink remaining in the colors you are missing, the issue is probably just a clogged print head. To clean your print heads, first insure you have paper loaded into the feed tray on top, press the "Menu" button on the face of your printer then press the down arrow until you see "Clean Cartridge". Select "Clean Cartridge" and wait for the cleaning cycle to complete. If the colors are still missing after running the cleaning cycle 3 times, you will need to replace your color cartridge. Low cost replacements can be found using a web search or visiting your local office supply store.
