Can I use a sigma flash EF 500 with Sony Alpha 350

Yes, if it has a Minolta/Sony mount. The Sigma EF 500 has been producedin different mount, so that the model can fit different cameras from different producers. A Sigma flash for Sony should have SO-ADI written on it.

I can not get the

Clean as much corrosion as you can from the contacts. If you've already done so then the corrosion has spread to the wires connected to them and will need to be replaced. This means opening up the unit and unsoldering the old wires between the contacts and the circuit board and replacing them with new ones.

You'll need to take great care as a flash capacitor can store a lethal charge, and you'll also need good soldering skills to both ensure that the new joints are sound and that you don't put too much heat into the circuit board causing damage.

The actual repair though just costs a couple of pieces of wire and a bit of solder, so is very cost effective if you have the tools and skills.

Sigma ef-530dg st pa-pttl is stuck wont auto zoom

IS the flash being used on a compatible model camera? If I understand the numbers that is for a Pentax camera and is incompatible with other brands of cameras.

Double check the flash to see which cameras it is dedicated to and check to see that the flash contacts are clean on the cmaera and flash. Otherwse it will need to be sent to Sigma for repair.

EF 500 Sigma flash

I found the solution by doing the following, all solved:

The Sigma EF-500 flashes have very small chromed contacts for the batteries. Even though they may not look corroded, they may not power up or conduct enough power to fully cycle up. Use a polishing tip in a dremel or an ink eraser tip to clean the internal wire contacts and the flat contacts on the door. I used dielectric grease on a q-tip to apply a coat to all contacts and cleaned battery terminals to minimise future issues.

Sigma Flash EF-500 DG SUPER

I use one of my cams with a sigma 500 DG-ST in a nightclub

ive done 3 of the hot shoe connectors in the last year

look up sigma's website and find the contact info
give them a call and they should after some arguing ship you out the parts

every time i have ordered parts they try and get me to send it in for repair even though by the time i am ordering the parts the flashgun is already in bits & i tell them this they keep telling me how dificult it is to do...

for the canon fittment do the following

at the base of the flash remove the 4 screws
this removes the bottom section
unclip the wireing harness
there are 2 screws securing a small metal plate remove them

now there are 4 screws securing the small PCB, remove them, you can now take out the boot from the bottom be careful as the pins and the springs will want to come out
pay atention to the locking pin and how its orientated

swap over the broken boot with the replacement then retrace your steps to get it back together

Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX while on Autofocus mode the focus ring moves slightly when half-pressing. Is this normal? is there anyway to fix this?

It is not normal for the focus ring to move slightly when using autofocus mode on the Sigma 70-200mm f2.8 APO EX lens. This could be caused by a problem with the lens or with the camera body. One thing you can try is to check if the lens mount on the camera is clean and free from debris, as this can cause the lens to move when the camera's autofocus system is trying to adjust the focus. You should also check if your lens firmware is updated to the latest version and make sure your camera firmware is also up to date.

Hello All, I need instructions on how to dissasemble the Sigma 300-800mm f5.6 APO EX DG HSM lens to clean an inner element. Does anyone have a service manual/exploded views/parts diagram please?

You can't do this yourself. It needs to be carried out by professionals and is a 'clean room' with service techs in full dust proof protective wear. Send it to them. https://www.sigma-global.com/en/support/ ..

What adapter do I need for a Sigma AF 75-300 lens on a Canon Rebel XTi SLR?

Question edited for clarity. You get the Sigma lens for the camera in Canon fit. https://www.google.com/search?q=sigma+lens+af+75-300+for+canon+rebel+xti Can you use Sigma lenses on Canon cameras? Since Sigma lenses are made to be fully compatible with Canon cameras, they are backwards-compatible. This means that you can use a Sigma lens on a Canon DSLR camera. Similarly, the Sigma cameras are backwards-compatible with Canon lenses. Macro adapter loses the AF feature. https://www.google.com/search?q=sigma+lens+af+75-300+mount+adapter+ring+for+canon+rebel+xti

Where can I find out how to take apart a Sigma 150-600mm contemporary lens?

Taking it apart is not the problem - re-assembling it will be. Unless you have access to an optical laboratory, where laser instruments can measure the exact tolerances required, don't even think about it. You will be left with a pile of optical components, and a far higher repair bill than if you had just let the experts sort out the problem in the first place.
