Can't remember admin password
What you can do is to uninstall it from Control Panel. Reboot the PC and then install it again. You will be asked to give admin password again. And this time you must choose a password that you are not likely to forget.

Can't print reports can print checks and invoices
What is the error?
With QuickBooks open, go to "File" then "Printer Setup"
check the printer settings for "Reports".
Sounds like QuickBooks Reports is not defaulting to the
right printer.

Quickbooks pro 2005 I cant open my backup files
You are not able to open a backup file in Quickbooks, Only restore it, to open a previous backup, the easiest way is to make a copy of your current company file, then restore the backup over it. This will give you a company file with the backup data.

Quickbook Pro Contractor 2007 Error:
Helo and thank you for using Fixya's services.
This can often happen if the software became corrupted after installation due to a virus or other quickbooks error.
First, you want to make a back-up copy yourself. You can copy and paste the QB business file to your documents folder.
- Thoroughly scan the affected computer for programs using anti-virus software with current virus definition files.
- Rename the C:\Program Files\Common Files\Intuit\DatabaseServer folder.
- Uninstall the program.
- Reinstall Customer Manager or Client Manager to a different location.
Once you have done the above, paste a copy of your back-up in the folder and see if it opens.
Please let me know if you have any questions.

Need to override flash 7 from disk
Hello and thank you for using Fixya's services.
You can upgrade your flash at
Adobe's webiste here free of charge. This is the newest version, flash 10 and will work with Quickbooks 2005. The installation disk installs flash player during installation but it is highly recommended to upgrade to the latest flash to avoid security leaks.
If you are looking specifically for flash 7.0, you can
download it here.
Please let me know if I can provide further assistance.
Thank you,
Jennifer

Does QuickBooksPro 2005 version run with windows vista
I think Intuit draws the support line at 3 years Even though you have probably registered your product, if there is any trouble with it and the new computer, you will be on your own. I think you would be putting yourself in unnecessary jeopardy to upgrade as you describe at this time. (Your business depends on your computer and software, to operate) You must also be aware of Vista troubles.
If you are in the market for a new computer, you may opt for the new Windows 7 OS and possibly upgrade your Quickbooks at the same time for maximum benefit.
If you have the Vista computer - you already have the Quickbooks, it costs nothing to give it a try. Presumably, you have a XP computer with Quickbooks on it now ... If the Vista - Quickbooks combo doesn't work out you could upgrade the Vista to Windows 7 ... you have nothing to loose in this senerio.
I hope I have provided a little insight for you to consider.
Thanks for using fixya.com

My mother started with quickbooks trial version,
You asked in JULY, and it's now SEPTEMBER.
So, the simplest way out is to buy a new copy of Quickbooks.
It is a legitimate business-expense, so should be tax-deductible.
Import your data from the old version.

QB pro 2005 and Internet Explorer 8
As with all evolving software (as the well written ones are), as you update one you'll invariable need to update others. If you want QB Pro 2005 to work properly, you'll have to contact Intuit for any patches to their software to make it compatible with IE8. I suspect that Intuit would rather sell you an upgrade to their most recent version of QB Pro (hence lightening your wallet substantially). If there's functionality in IE8 that you absolutely HAVE to have, you'll probably be stuck paying for the QB Pro upgrade. Otherwise, you can simply stick with IE6 or 7 (as you've already reverted back to). Sorry there's not a better answer.
