Hi Leshawn,
I understand the problem you are facing and would like to help you. The problem as explained by you usually occurs when the play store app gets crashed. The possible solution to this include clearing the apps cache from the Settings>> application>> click on Play Store>> clear cache and related storage.
If the problem still persist then then go to play.google.com on your web browser and search for play store. now install this application to your mobile the problem should be fixed.
PS. You can use the browser on the galaxy tab to browse and install.

Your are using own wi-fi network or someone else? If its yours you might have put your last name as a SSID i.e your network name, which is why its being listed on your wi-fi list.
Do let me know whole scenario.

check your internet connection, it might possible while transaction the internet speed is low or so. Have the full internet access and then try to do the transaction. It would be good if you sit closer to your AP or the internet router.

Let it drain completely, then recharge-it fully & downlooad App killer, application manager. You may be running unnecessary programs in the background. If that doesn't work, take it back to the dealer

I don't have much experience with the Galaxy Tab, but try holding down the power button until it powers off. If that doesn't work leave it alone until the battery dies. That should effectively restart it.

Safe mode is for troubleshooting, You have a bigger problem if you can't load normally. You may even have to reload Windows.

Just guessing, however, I have found that I need to completely shut down electronics (remove all power sources, including those plugged into power and take a break). I am not sure but generally to actually shut down the power, you need to hold the power up button long enough to actually hear it shutdown.
after a break, begin restoring power to the tablet, the charger, any other related device. It might work.

To use Google maps or some other programs (like games), you need to be connected to a Wi-Fi network, not the cellular network. You will need to be in an area with an open wi-fi network or have a wireless router in your home. Find your password for the router's wi-fi network (it should be password-protected) and the SSID; you also need the encryption type (WAP, WEP, etc.).

Press Apps on the Home Screen. Then press Settings and then Wi-Fi. Select Scan to locate available networks. While on the Wi-Fi tab, press Add Network. Enter the SSID with the keyboard, then touch Security type to select the encryption for your router. Then enter the password and finally press Save. (Some wi-fi routers will want the MAC address before you can add a device to the network. Go to the Menu - Advanced from the Wi-fi tab to get the information.)

If the wi-fi network has been set up on the Tab, press Apps on the Home Screen. Then press Settings and look for the Wi-Fi On/Off icon. Toggle this to on. (You can also access this by touching the time on the Home Screen. Then touch Wi-fi on the Quick Settings list.)

I hope this helps.
