Why won't my camera won't read the sd card I'm using?

8 gB is SDHC. Try less than 4 gB maybe even 256 mB to see if it will read those cards. But lately, all stores only sell HC cards. Try ebay, and they may charge an arm and a leg for old cards?

Connected through a 4-port USB hub

Use of a USB hub for connection does not guarantee normal operation. Try attaching the USB cable directly from the D-snap SD Camera to one of the built-in USB ports on the PC.

Make sure both the Battery Pack and AC Adapter are connected to the D-snap SD Camera when connected to a compatible PC.

Serial number required for SD-Jukebox installation

The required serial number for SD-Jukebox installation is located on the paper insert inside the CD-ROM casing. The serial number is 10 or 11 digits long depending on the model. Without the serial number, the Jukebox software cannot be installed on a compatible PC.

Folders come up on my screen

The data on the SD Memory Card can be broken up into five separate folders (where applicable): [DCIM]: The images in this folder (e.g. IMGA0001.JPG) are recorded in the JPEG format. [MISC]: Files in which DPOF Data has been set to the image are in this folder. Slide show data created by SD-MovieStage Ver. 2.5 are also stored in this folder (e.g. AUTPLY0.MRK). [SD_AUDIO]: Stores music data files (e.g. AOB001.SA1) recorded by the SD-Jukebox Ver.4. [SD_VIDEO]: MPEG4 moving pictures are recorded in ASF format (e.g. MOL001.ASF). It can be played back with Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. [SD_VOICE]: Folder in which voice data files (e.g. MOB001.VM1) are stored.

Format the SD Memory Card

Formatting erases all the data recorded on the SD Memory Card. If an SD Memory Card becomes unreadable, formatting may make it reusable.

Yes. The SV-AV100 comes with a 512MB* SD Memory Card. The SV-AS10, SV-AV50 and SV-AV25 all come with an 8MB* SD Memory Card. *Usable capacity will be less.

SV-AS10, SV-AV25 & SV-AV50: 1600 x 1200 pixels (printing 4" x 6") SV-AV100: 640 x 480 pixels.

Record MPEG4 or MPEG2 motion video

The SV-AV100 records both MPEG2 and MPEG4 motion video. The SV-AV50 and SV-AV25 record MPEG4 motion video only. The SV-AS10 does not record MPEG4 or MPEG2 motion video. It can only record QuickTime™ Motion JPEG.

Play back in Windows Media Player

MPEG4 motion video can be played back with Windows Media Player 6.4 or later. MPEG2 cannot be played back in Windows Media Player. Files created with our D-snap Video Cameras are designed for playback with the included MediaStage software and our DMR-E100H DVD Recorders.
