Go to the IBM/Lenovo WEB site - support/download page and download the latest Windows XP or Vista device drivers for your model computer, Use this link: -

You can download the various drivers and then you click on and run the various driver files, they will then unzip and expand into a sub folder on C:\drivers Then install the various drivers from this folder (run the set-up file).

I don't mean to disagree with my associate, but DVD players for R series (or T, A, etc) can be found for less than 20.00 US (Ebay is a good example)
For that matter, we've got at least a dozen at our shop which we sell for 25.00
Installation is very simple as well, just pop the old drive out, put the new drive in.

Hi Jenelle I think we will need more information to be sure to fix this problem, like the model of the printer and are you trying to connect to it with USB cable or through network (with LAN or with wifi). in most cases anyway make sure the wires are connected correctly (USB) and download the below link to identify and install your printer if it's not installed correctly. press the identify now button after connecting it with USB.
