Vertical lines in the scree of my 50
Several possible reasons include:A bad board somewhere in the set.A communication or Handshake issue--the boards communicate info to the main board and if not proper certain areas of the screen will have lines etc.A power supply issue is rare for this but possible.Last but not least the issue could be a defective PDP---Plasma Display Panel (entire front screen unit) which if is the problem is fatal from a cost point of view. Not likely any of these are going to be either a do it yourself repair or be repaired in the home.
