If your modem pulled a new or different ip address and you did not reset your router it could be trying to use the old IP address and there would be a conflict. IP addresses usually have a lease of 24 hours, S if your IP was refreshed at noon and you reset your mdem and for sopme reason it obtained a new ip address the router would not be able to connect until noon the following day when it tried to refresh. Rebooting the router should cause it to sync back up with the modem and pull the correct IP address. You may need to log into your router and manually release and renew the IP address even after rebooting your router, I have seen a few routers that would still not pull the new address unless this was done.My preferred method is to unplug power from the router, then reboot the modem. Only after the modem is synced back up do I plug power back into the router, so far this has seemed to work the best.

The machine you run any inside server on needs a static IP address (192.168.0.11 for example) and you configure the gateway so that your outside request to address and port (http://10.10.10.1:8080) gets mapped to your inside machine's IP address and the port you are running the server on (192.168.0.11:8000) for example. If you are only using one internal web server just map port 80 to port 80 along with the inside IP and you can omit the port number in the external URL. (If you are running more than one server you should be able to figure it out.) Remember to disable external access to the router's configuration if you do this because that also runs on port 80. My example mapped outside port 8080 to inside port 8000 just so they would be different. Remember that one outside port can be mapped to a single inside address and port. You can run two inside machines with a service on their own port 80 but they need different ports on the WAN interface.

Hi,efault U need to isolate the problem first. Check if the wireless drops on all devices or only on one particular device. If it occurs on only one particular device,the problem is with the wireless adapter of that advice.. If it happens on all the devices then the problem is with wireless router For that Check for the wireless interference . Avoid having cordless phone base near the router. Also try changing the wireless channel of the router To 1,6,11 U can do this by logging on to the router set up page of your router To Find the address of your router,type ipconfig /all in the command prompt.Look for the Default gateway address and type it in the address bar.U will find your Router set up page..and u can change the wireless channel there
