The manufacturer's seem very protective of their information for their POS printers. I have been unable to find on-line manuals; the only posted information sees to be promotional sheets. Epson does provide an on-line contact form for submitting inquiries, which, unless someone else can provide an answer, I suggest you give a try:

If this is the thermal head model, you will need to have the print head replaced. These were also sold under the Dell label, so finding a used replacement printer may be more economical. If it takes ribbons, you will need:
