Epson AcuLaser C900 Printer Questions & Answers
Epson Aculaser C900 photoconductor inserted incorrectly message after changing
Hey Marts
Try this:
Remove the PCU and the Transfer belt assy's
Look inside the machine to the back, top left where you will see the cam as detailed in the picture below
Open the right door and you will see a Green Wheel about half way down on the back side.
Turn this wheel so the cam inside turns untill it is about 100 - 110 degrees further round (anti clockwise) than it is in the picture - basically make it go as far round anti clockwise as it will go
Now try reinserting the TFB and PCU assy's in turn. You do not need to insert the 2 big silver screws that hold these units in place
Close her up and see how you get on. If this has no effect, let me know and I will see what else you can do.
Transfer belt unit is out of service life
Epson C-900. There is a fuse in the photoconductor unit and the transfer unit. The photoconductor has a shorter life, so it can be a few years before the transfer unit goes end of life. I suspect the fuses are blown by the machine when the counters get to end of life limit set by the manufacturer. On both components, if the fuse is reinstated/by-passed, the machine will think it has a new part. Spare fuses are available for the photoconductor unit.
The fuse on the transfer unit is a green resistor on a small board behind a black plastic dust cover on the front edge of the transfer unit (remove 3 screws to access). Ask a friend who understands basic electric circuits if you are stumped at this point.
Of course this mechanism is there to ensure you enjoy high quality output from your printer and keep it in top condition. By over-riding the mechanism quality will deteriorate and risk of failure increases.

New toners added still feint print
Clean your roller and see if there are loose gears or trapped objects
inside. As for the faint prints, check your toner density. The normal
setting should be 3
