Dell xps m1330 dvd drive will not eject cd inside

Im a dell tech, and i hate those cdrom styles, but, that is what the consumer wants, so we make them. Try starting the machine, then press F2 to enter the BIOS. once in the bios, press the eject button. listen for any noises, (an attempt to eject). if you hear a sound, it means the drive should be capable of ejecting the disc, and perhaps the disc has not seated correctly. If the disc will not eject, you must contact Dell. This is from the DELL dcse site: " Optical Drive The XPS M1330 has a slot-loading optical drive instead of a conventional tray-loading module. There is no mechanical eject mechanism for the drive to eject stuck discs. This means you must replace the drive if a disc gets stuck in the drive. After replacing the drive, disassemble the old drive to remove the disc for the customer."

Dell xps 2720 dvd drive will not eject cd inside

Turn system off and use a paper clip to manually open the drive door. Straighten a paper clip, then insert it in the small opening to the right of the eject button. This should manually open the door and you can remove any disks in the drive. Then reboot and see if it will open and close normally.

I CAN NOT OPEN MY DELL INSPIRON 15 CD TRAY

Almost all cd and dvd or bluray drives have a manual way of opening. Usually it is a small opening to the right of the button to open the drive. Make sure the system is OFF to try this. Just straighten a paper clip and insert it in the opening and give it a small push. The door should manually slide open.

DVD wont eject and no drawer in laptop

Go to DELL for Update to CD/DVD drivers for your Mod computer. Or try the Control Panel...Devices and seek the line indicating C/DVD hardware. If the DVD shows up, then the computer sees it and needs an update. If it will not find any CD/DVD attached, the unit could be defecetive.

I have a disk stuck in my dell dvd play with no way to release it. All lights are out on Studio . How do I get it out?

There ought to be a tiny pinhole in the front. If you stick a paperclip in there, it should press a manual release button. You can then pull open the drive.

Cannot eject dvd

Good day,

If it's a dvd rom drive of a PC(personal computer), then get a long, strong thin material like a pin, at least of the length of your index finger. Around/beside the eject button on d dvd rom, you will see a small hole, like d size of a dvd rom led light, insert the thin material thru this hole until you "feel like you are pushing something inside the dvd rom". The dvd rom should open a bit, then you can open it completely to get your dvd.

I hope this helps. Thank you for using FixYa!!

Dell xps desktop slot load optical disk drive

It's probably a driver issue, I know this because I reinstalled WIN7 Pro, because of some experimenting and it was after the reinstall that media wouldn't eject using the touch-bar ejecter, although I was able to get everything else working flawlessly. No problem though, just open My Computer, right click on the CD/DVD Drive and click eject from the pulldown menu. Currently I'm looking for the driver fix, but haven't found it YET~! P.S. Anyone who thinks or says it's the BIOS is crazy... don't listen to them. It's more than likely a chipset driver because it's hardware, but don't rule proprietary software. Hope this helps~!
