most front panel connectors with a 4 x 5 pin configuration are intel compliant, and are all the same. The "nine" pin is missing, and is the "KEY" to orientation, no matter which way the pins are situated on the board. 1 3 5 7 X 2 4 6 8 10 1= HDD LED+, usually green 3= HDD-, usually white or black 2= PWR LED+, usually red 4= PWR LED-, white or black These are polarity specific, and must be connected to the proper + and - terminals to work properly 5= RESET 7= RESET 9 is missing, can be used to determine location of other pins 6= PWR 8= PWR Thes are momentary contact pins, can't get them backwards Pins 6 and 10 are jumped together in the Dimension 2400.

You could pull the nickel cadmium battery on the motherboard and then put it back in. This should reset Cmos to default factory settings.

only two usb ports?? should be up to 4 usually. check your manual for locations if you cannot see them. else, you can get an adapter for usb that will supply more ports externally. you can find them every pc place.

what version of windows do you have? Can you access the drives normally without the software?

Upgrading is pretty easy if you can open your CPU, be careful working inside, if you break or shortcircuit any of the stuff inside, your motherboard might stop working. here is the video:

You will a full blown version of whatever software you want to install. Also try using the F8 key during bootup. See if the computer will boot up into Safe Mode. You should be able to made System restore disks from there if it will get that far.

Check the main power cable or try using another battery to check the power system, if you use another battery and the device not strat up normaly, now you know your device is need to repair by an expert in cervice center.

Firstly disconnect all the cables from the monitor if connected any, in short monitor should not be connected to any devices. Then press and hold the power button of the monitor for 15 secs and release it. Then try to check it. If still no picture, then try to connect it with another monitor.
